Hey I know theres not really anywhere to hangout in Raleigh with your car and get harrassed by the cops so there is this new place called Fast cash for cars that just recently opened and is having meetups every friday including free hamburgers and hotdogs most weeks, and the cops cant mess with you since its private property.
Owner is really nice and is looking to get more people out, and has his own collection of cars including a real Cobra R, GNX, Cobra Saleens, etc... He recently sold a twin turbo viper with 1000+hp but the guy shows up to the meets who owns it now...
But anyway the meets are every Friday 6-9pm and probably longer, and they bring the grill out and free hamburgers and hotdogs.
places website is fc4cars dot com, address is 9012 Glenwood Avenue, Raleigh NC
Ill try and keep this post updated with info I can find out on the meets...
any cars, its mostly mustangs and camaros, but a few c6 vettes have shown up, couple vipers, g35's, owner is trying to get more of a crowd out... the main area where everyone posts is at horsepowerjunkies . com
hey are these friday night meets still happening cuz i recently moved from fayetteville to campus crossings on tryon near state and i would definitely be down with coming to these. i'm trying to get onto the car scene here in raleigh now that i've relocated.

Sounds cool but with just moving here, settling on a house and my wife 8 1/2 months pregnant, and only having one income at the moment until she goes back to work, money will be tight to finish working on my car.
Right now it is a non-performance 60 trim, stock engine SRT-4. LOL I need to get TKM to tune it for me but that won't be for a few months until I get all my parts and stuff settled into the new house. Maybe next year though.

haha yeah i hear ya. Just got a house, and my kids expenses, put the car on the status of "done" ... glad i decided to go stage3 and paid the car off before all that happened...
LOL, when my car is fast again, then my car will be done, with the exception of getting a cruise control installed. After driving in the UK for 4 years and basically driving 60 mph on any side road and between 70-90 on the highways, the 55-60 mph on the highways here is killing me.
It is amazing that with the higher speeds in the UK and how everyone drives over there (i.e. Fast), they have very few accidents. There are speed cameras here and there, you almost never see a cop on the highway and they almost never set up speed traps, hiding out behind a tree waiting for you to go by or anything. In 4 years of driving over there, never got pulled over, or had my car inspected for anything. That is with 3% tint on the back of the car, my Needswings DP open pretty much anytime I was driving around and bright ass HIDs in my stock headlight housing with no highbeam.
I am not sure if I would have learned as much about this car if I had gone straight Stage 3, but Stage 3 is a good mod don't get me wrong. I think once I get this turbo thing figured out I will be done and happy with it.
