I'm really thinking about selling my car. It's running pretty good right now with 62k on it but there are some things that are bugging the shit out of me. I'm thinking about trading in on a blue VW GLI 1.8t 6sp manual. It's got 46k on it and they are asking 14,100. What do you think I could get on craigslist for mine? kbb is 8k tradin 10k private sell. If I could get carmax to offer me 9 on the srt I would probably do it to be honest. I'm gonna take her down later and let them appraise it.
What do you think? The scene is kinda dead and I want to get a car that will run another 60k. In 2 years I'm going to buy an STI or an EVO to play with. I just can't make up my mind. I have been everywhere in/on this car. I have bled because of the damn thing lol.

Your gonna trade in for a 1.8t??? thats a downgrade bro....I like them looks wise, and handling wise....but I guess your gonna mod the piss out of it to be able to keep up with an srt...everybody tells me to go for a 2.0t anyway....IDK. I MIGHT if it was a 2.0t....ur losing alot of displacement.
Especially for a VW, granted they are nice looking cars but the are slooooooooooooooow.
But I know u have been talking about this for a while, so if you do please dont trade in as is, please part it out, I know some locals that would like that 20g
yeah, honestly since I got the new clutch in I'm not too happy with they way things are going. The clutch slips like hell at 21 lbs in 3rd gear. It's supposed to be a 400ft-lb clutch but I have my doubts.
I know it will never be as fast as the srt but I really don't race at all. I like the specs/looks of the 1.8t and w/ about $1000 it can be over 200hp. I am sure I will regret selling the car whenever I decide to. I'm just on the fence. I am going to see what Carmax will give me. If it's not what I want maybe I'll have both until I can sell the SRT.
I am not going to part the car out. I really am sick of working on this thing lol. I have had it for 3 yrs and changed almost everything in on the car, atleast twice. I am going to steal the EBC I have, that will be a nice addition.
Well, went to carmax. What a frickn' joke! They offered me $4,500 for my car lol. They said that's all they would get for it at auction. And then, as luck would have it, on the way home a shelby 427 supercharged BEAST wanted to race. It was a 2008 or a 2009 can't tell honestly. Long story short all the shit that is wrong with my car didn't make for a good race. He pulled on me but my car was sputtering, slippn' clutch, and one of my tbolt clamps broke earlier in the day (boost leak). All in all, I guess I am keeing her for a little while longer.
