a good 3rd Gen RX-7 rolling chassis: $8000-$10,000
LS2 Crate engine (6.0L 405HP): $6500
Granny's Speed Shop conversion kit: $2300
NX 150 shot dry kit: $750
custom 4'' single exit exhaust: $500 (at TBC)
T-56 Transmission (new): $3000
tires, suspension, misc. expenses: $2500
Clutch: $1100
all of these prices are quoted as brand new. im sure you can get a hell of a deal on a LS2/T56 pullout of a wrecked 6.0 GTO for alot less. just my .02 of course. when i get the money, this will be the way i will go. not a doubt in my mind.
now enjoy your new ride!
or you can just buy one already done for about $30K. with that setup right there, you can do 10's on DR's all day long, not to mention eat up nearly any supra that tries to fuck with you. the car can be auto-x or drift setup too. still keep the perfect weight balance. can you say 550WHP in a 2900 lb car?

what about a 2jz 240 swap? its less than a 20k build. thats pretty cheap if you ask me.
motor, tranny, ecu, and harness: 4k or less
car: maybe 5k or way less
thats an 11sec car just for the swap alone on street tires.

i think a 2JZ engine pullout (engine, tranny, ecu and harness) is more than 4K if i am not mistaken. ALOT more. those engines are really rare and hard to find. they are constantly in short supply.
shane you would know better than me. you had a supra that you were gonna do, right?

my specialty is RX-7's
He was actualy really close on lot of the prices...A lot of people dont know but there are 2 different types of 2jz's(MAP and MAF). Which is better or more common I dont know as most guys go straight to a ems it doesnt matter.
The getrag 6 speed doesnt go on sale used. It just doesnt. Why would anyone sell a tranny that doesnt break at 1100hsp. Ony problem is the clutch, and a good carbon carbon(which you need) is gonna run 3500, rsp.
The long block assembly usually sells in the 3000 range(used). The head flows well up to 900 and the bottem end has proven to hold 1000.
Tranny new is 3000.
Turbo kit will run 4700, for a good 70's mm kit.
Fuel system, 1900.
EMS, 2200. Or you can go with a VPC by hks, wich goes for in the 600 range i believe.
Clutch, 3500 rps carbon carbon.
Intake manifold, 1200-2000.
Front mount, 1400 Greddy 3 row.
A lot of people think you can just throw a big turbo on and kill bikes. Just like any other car you have to have the correct blend and mix of parts to get it running right.

yeah bro you anit lying the 2jz is one of the most cash out of pocket cars to build but it holds what you give it. that is why i am going to save at least 35,000 to 40,000 for a car when i get back all bills are paid and car will be paid off
