Can I tweak the tune you gave me on my own?
Unfortunately no. The handheld programmer will be locked to your VIN as soon as you flash your car. The handheld has a unique serial number which our map will contain to ensure that your map only is used with your handheld. Any changes to your map will need to be done by us.
We spent a lot of time in developing these maps, and we would like control as to which car these maps are used on. This is not only to protect our investment into this project, but to prevent someone from flashing someone else's car and blow it up with a map that was not designed for their car.
The map is designed as a base tune. While the map may be spot on in some areas, other areas will be a bit conservative for safety. For those who would like to fine tune their car, we suggest using a piggyback on top of the flash and to pull out the extra few % of fuel needed to achieve your desired air/fuel ratio. The big difference now is that rather than pulling 30% of fuel out for the car to run with large injectors, the scaling is done for you on the PCM level, so it'll be much like fine tuning a stock turbo car or a Mopar Stage 3 car with a piggyback. You will not need to pull out nearly as much fuel in order to fine tune.
hummmmm does this sound good to anyone
Can I have a pump gas map, and a race gas map?
The short answer is no, you don't need one.
The longer answer is that one map can provide both. We will set the map up so that everything up to 21psi is for pump gas.
For those who like to go to the track with race fuel, we will add a bunch of extra timing in the boost areas 22psi and above.
Here is some more info
I have the SCT Tuner Pro Package. Can I still use your map?
Yes, but you will still not be able to modify the map. We will need the serial number for your handheld, and the map will be locked to that. For pricing for the map by itself, give us a call.
look at the big bold statement made so what is the point just go full stand alone or leave it alone with just a piggy back my .02 cents

the only thing there sct flash is good for is for someone who doesn't want to tune. wants something like a plug and play type thing (the reason why a lot of people buy stg3).

this is why you have 2 maps. i agree with the taking away fuel with a safc but how are you going to add timing? i understand its adding timing above 22psi and you can adjust fuel for those areas but what if something happens to the safc and your running 27-28psi? i just don't think its as safe as setting the map up from your datalogs on race gas.i'm not here to have a pissing match. if having just a base map is what you want, then do what you think is best. i'll prefer my way and you stick with yours do i need to type a book of why i prefer flashing the stock ecu over have just an safc or piggyback? if so..................I'M NOT like i said before stageII, you do it your way and i'll do it mine. i'm sure yours will work great also..............

damn it i wanted the book sounds good bro let me know the out come
DCR SAID THEY ARE DEF. COMING THIS WEEKEND TO ROCK.
i can't wait for this trip it is going to be a lot of fun. need to take my seats out and bring tools to take out the passenger seat when i get up there. i can't wait it is going to be fun. if u are going and didn't post let me know. i am going to try to set up a meeting place that will be good for a lot of people so we can roll up there together. ive already got a couple of people from jacksonville meeting at walmart then we are going to be taking the quickest way there (the 74). i know it isn't the best way for the fayetteville crew but it is the best for us. if we take the 24 the whole way it is about 40mins of a longer trip.
btw, i know a guy who did it your way with an evo8 and he now owns an evo9 because his 8 motor blew. his car ran VERY well doing it your way until it blew one day. prolly the fastest i've seen for his setup he was running. both will work. i'm just a big fan of the whole sleeper look also and my car not looking like a best buy electronics section

these maps from AGP are just really good base maps for me until i get the pro racer package from SCT where i CAN tune on the spot. i know the maps are gonna be a bit on the conservative side, but the bottom line is this: there are so many different functions that can be manipulated within the stock PCM besides timing and fuel. they are getting to the point where they can adjust certain settings based on what gear you are in. they can even program in a 2-step to your flash(an option that they are messing with right now). also, i dont know about you, but when i look at my AFR readout on a graph vs. RPM's, i dont want my AFR to look like an EKG readout, i want it to be as flat and consistent as it can be across the board. that is pretty much your driveability and smooth power band right there. you can't get that with a piggyback. anyways, like i said before, you can do it your way, ill do it mine. as for the non-believers, the proof will be in the track numbers. that is all. im done.
