Default car craft street machine nationals

I was wondering if anyone has attended the Car Craft Magazine Street Machine Nationals in St Paul. I'm curious as to what kind of reception a front drive 4 cylinder receives among all those V8's.

What kind of reception do you get at the local track? Now double it.

I'm 44 yrs old and I get a crappy reception at the local cruise-ins from guys my age who are into the older cars. I sure you will get the same reception from them also, but on the bright side, there is a younger crowd who attends these events who would appreciate your car. Go for the fun...fuck everyone else's opinion. Accept the fact that not everyone is going to like the same thing and move on.

I'm a little older than that (51) and I know where you're coming from. However I have made a believer out of a number of my friends. The first indication is the "HOLY SHIT !!!" from the back seat. Can't argue with horsepower. As for the Street Machine Nationals, I have atttended every year except 2 from 1980 to 1999driving my 71 GTX. I wanted to go again and since it's about a 6 hour drive I decided to drive the SRT. Better gas mileage and air conditioning, must be that getting older thing.
