Default What Centerforce did for me ....

I originally posted this back in August 2005 .... That clutch is STILL holding over 500 whp now .... and doing so perfectly !

HUGE Kudos to Centerforce Clutches !!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This company makes a PERFECT product for sure !!! I LOVE my Centerforce clutch !!! Great pedal feel ... easy as a Honda to push , but with perfect information feel through your foot as to what the clutch is doing at all times , and grabs on like a PitBull when WOT !!!! But it's the customer service that makes them above the rest ....
Here's what happened :
My stock clutch just didn't last long with 400+ hp , and I took it in when it started slipping to have it replaced. I bought the Clutch from Jegs , and the Throwout Bearing from my local Dodge dealer , which is the Throwout Bearing that Centerforce reccommended I use. I took it to the highest reccommended shop in town for the labor.
I went to pick up the car when it was finished , and it drove for 2.7 miles before self destructing into a shuddering mass of trash. I nurseed it back to the shop with my fillings coming loose , and when they opened it up the next morining , they found the Throwout Bearing had seized up and ruined the new $650 clutch !!!! I called Centerforce and told them what happened , and asked if there was another Throwout Bearing I could use..... They said no , that they had heard of ZERO problems with that combo being used , BUT SAID THEY WOULD OVERNIGHT ME A NEW CLUTCH FREE OF CHARGE !!!! THIS IS SERVICE BEYOND ALL CALLS OF DUTY !!!! I was blown flat away !!!!
I went to the Dodge dealer , and told him what happened , and gave him the trashed throwout bearing ..... He refused to do ANYTHING but replace the throwout bearing free of charge , EVEN THOUGH it was the Dodge part that caused the failure.
I took the new throwout bearing back to the shop , and received a call a few hours later .... They quadrupled checked the Throwout bearing , and found it was for a 2.0 Neon .... NOT A SRT-4 !!!!!!!!!! The quality shop had prevented another disaster !!!
Dodge tried to say I had requested the wrong part , and had asked for a Neon part ..... But I explained that I viewed my car as a SRT-4 , and have NEVER called it a Neon , and challenged the parts manager to find the word Neon anywhere on the car , insurance , or registration papers ......
After threatening to call my attorney , and take out a full page add in the paper , he agreed to get the right part , and pay for the labor to install the clutch the SECOND time around ..... I walked out with new Hemi hats , T-shirts , ect .... He he he ....
Bottom line is this ..... Centerforce CARES about their customers , a RARE thing anymore !! I will NEVER buy another brand again , and hope you won't either after reading this !

Actually, I have my own Centerforce story, too, although not on a SRT-4. Back in 93, I bought a CFDF clutch for my 86 Shelby GLHS. I put tons of miles on it, and loved it. In about 96, that clutch failed. I pulled the car apart, and sent the clutch into CF to be warranteed. They called, and told me that it was out of warranty (it was), but they could sell me another CFDF at cost. I agreed, and paid for a new one at the much reduced price. Well, when the new one arrived, it also came with my original clutch, rebuilt, and looking perfect, as well. I called them up, wondering if there was a mistake, and the fellow there told me, "Thanks for being a good customer." Wow! I put the original back in the GLHS, and later put the other one in the car that came to be known as the CSX-ND (the old Shelby Dodge guys probably remember that car). I have since had the CFDF in my SVO Mustang (with a T56 6 speed swap), and now have one in my SRT, and love it. Great product, great people.

all you need is the clutch and the TOB and someone to install it lol
3.5 quarts of ATF-4 + additive for the differential.
