Going up to HR to try and trade my 07 Cummins Ram in.....Dont know what I should get?? Propably nothing if they want to steal my truck...I know its a diesel, but I am not going to give it away....Its a black 4X4 quad cab with 11K miles.....
Looked at a bunch of stuff....Pontiac dealer offered me 15K for my truck I had had this truck appraised by carmax three times, once in Jan for 23K, May 20th for 21K, and today for 18K....The fuel prices are killing the truck market. I lost 3K in not even two months....Think I'm going back to a Mustang gt....I need the 2K rebate to pull me out of the hole....Think I can get 18-19 from Beach Ford.......
Definitely couldn't pick a worse time to trade in the truck. If it's the mileage... why take a 10k+ bath on it? I'm sure you can spend 10k on gas. w/o just losing it all together.

I'm liking the decline in values as I am currently in the market for a 2007 Ram2500 Diesel Mega-Cab!
Got a 08 Alloy Mettalic Gt coming in from another dealer....Its a 5-speed with the polished 18's and leather interior.....There were no rebates on the bullitt and its just too plain for my liking. I looked at an 09 but dont want to pay 650/mo for a Mustang due to the fact it has no rebates....I hope I like this one better than I did my 07 Gt that I traded in after 3K miles.....I had to cough up 2K and the low financing rate helps a bunch. I think if I keep the truck, its value would have been even worse in a few months...The article on MSN's webstart page convinced me of that....Its titled "large trucks ride off into the sunset" which means no one wants them anymore, including myself.....My buddy that is from Hatteras works as a manager at Beach Ford, so he did the best he could for me, he also told me they have trucks on the lot having Birthdays....Some of the F-250/350's have been there over a year, and they would sell them at a loss, but nobody wants them. You can get a 40K supercrew for like 25K......Some people are 10-15K upside down now on trucks....and its getting worse......I'll keep this, and trade it for a 6-speed r/t Challenger in 09...the srt version is too much money......
Oh and Carmax in Newport News has an 06 silver Srt-8 Jeep for 27K.....I just dont want to deal with used car financing, the rates are too high.......

That's funny... but yeah... totally true. Lots of rebates on new trucks right now.. and a lot of lots selling them while giving up holdback, giving EP pricing, and losing $1k just to get them off the floor plan.
