hey guys i live in howard county and i took it to a altered atmosphere about a week ago to see how much im pushing out. Paid 80 and got two pulls out of it, 1st in 3rd gear and the second one in 4th. The dyno wasn't what i expected, i did really shitty. The dude said i was running really lean like 10a/f. He told me that i needed a wideband and tune it to get from running lean.
I have stage 2 injectors and 255 fuel pump. Is there anyway to fix it other than wideband and tune or do i have to do that. I mean im already getting the wideband and tune once i get my stage 1 pcm in sometime this week. Help me out guys i can make a copy of the dyno run and post it up once i get back home later on today.

10 afr is lean?

I've heard mixed reviews about Altered Atmosphere.
They wanted to charge me $1300 to fab me up an IC for my PT when they just installed one on a PT 2 weeks before. They said they didn't keep the specs

The wideband is simply going to allow who ever is tuning to dial in on a specific AFR. That in itself will not give you any more power. 10.0 is not lean. If they had a wideband built into the dyno as most of them do then they should have been able to tune your car without you having one. If you are running a stock turbo on the fuel setup you described above you should have enough fuel to make so decent power out of a stock turbo. Do you have a returnline setup? That I would say would be a good investment.

like the above said 10 afr is pig rich. if you don't want to tune look for a stg 2 pcm. you would, however you would need to locate a 3bar map and tip sensor. or get an afc or a diablo

Altered Atmosphere is not the smartest route to go.. All I've heard is bad things....Take it to AMS Atlantic Motorsports or TurboXS in Gaithersburg,MD they will get you set up nice.. and Chris your gay.....lol

And if you need a SAFC i have a NEO that I am getting ready to take out of my car, on the cheap. Then you would just need to get a tach driver.

no i don't have a returnline at all but im looking for one if anyone that has one. And ya im going to tune it but would a stage 1 pcm work. They said i was running to lean and once i get that shit fixed i should have more power. Apparently i dynoed at 199 wheel horsepower with 256 torque. I believe i should be pulling close to 300 with the stuff i have done to my car

You sir need to find a new shop to tune your car

Assuming you have the supporting mods to do it, yes you can make right around 300 on a stock turbo. This shop from what I am hearing from your info that you are passing doesn't sound like they know shit.

Here is your best bet. Get a DiabloSport and have a good can tune sent to you. Because there isnt really too much done to your car you should be able to get a fairly good one made for you without your car actually being on a dyno. Plus if you get a DSP you dont have to mess with a new PCM or and of that trash, just plug it in, flash the computer, DONE!

thats what im probably going to do, i have the gameboy to tune it with and im waiting for the wideband so i can tune it. Ya man from what other people just informed me they are trash and aren't good. I guess im going to take it to turboxs or atlantic motorsports. Do you know of anybody that has a diabloslport and is willing to trade it for a d-tech

I dont think anyone out there will be willing to trade a dtec for a dsp. You are better off just trying to sell the dtec and buying a dsp used off of here or buying a new one. they are not too expensive and are well worth the money.

turbo xs is right around the corner from altered.

stay away from altered trust me, I've had numerous friends get screwed pretty bad by them.
