Default Maryland Inspection

I could give two shits about emissions lol

I have a 2003 SRT4 that I bought completely modded with a Hahn 20g, portfueler, lowering springs and a loud full exhaust (no resonators, cat)

I talked to Nigel from Trudyno and want to install a E.D. side exit system with cat and do BC Coilovers.

Will these type of parts pass inspection standards in the state of Maryland? I will be taking my car to get it fixed very soon and want to make sure I don't spend money on parts that will fail.

Slicktsax, I had pmed you, not sure if you got it.

Thanks Pat

As long as you have a cat and no check engine light the car should go right thru. MD emissions is pretty easy.

Inspection is what I am worried about. I want to know if I can get through inspection as I relocated to Maryland from Ohio.

I was interested in the parts mentioned above, I wanted to know how inspectors treated the aftermarket.

Thanks!

If the parts are put on correctly....and are not hanging on by a coat hanger you will not have any problems getting through an inspection ....Use to work at a dealership with the inspection bay... you can be lowered with mods...just everything has to be in working order and installed correctly...

Ok great. Just want to make sure I am not spending money on parts that are destined to fail the inspection.

I heard a story once from a kid who had a miata, they evidently failed him because he did not retain the factory shiftknob.

I think it must depend on where you get your inspection. When I brought my car up from Florida, I had it inspected at Hillmuth in Clarksville. They wouldn't pass the exhaust because it did not had a resonator. They showed me a picture of the stock exhaust, which showed a resonator. Soooo, I had to spend $160 for Magnaflow resonator for a 3-inch exhaust. I took it back; they looked under the car, and gave me my inspection certificate. However, they made no mention of the Eibach Pro lowering springs.

I actually had this happen to me, dickhead, after I told him I would need detaisl on any fails becuase I would be performing any work needed, went to town. See, if your factory shift knob has the shift apttern, they can say you dont have a gear indicator. Meant for autos, but could, if your being a dick, be read to apply to having the shift patern displayed.

Me, I printed out a shift pattern and taped to the console

Also gigged me becuase the door was "hard to open", which meant you needed to lift the door handle with maybe 10lbs of force, not 5lbs.
"An officer might need to open that"

Dick.......
