Yeah so James went to mast this morning. 15 days of restriction plus a bunch of other stuff. Just about the time he gets done with restriction they go underway. So plan on him not being around until at least the 28th. This sucks!!!

what did he do? did he get reduction in rate? half pay x2? I could only imagine what mast for a reactor person could be like. they hold them more accountable than almost any rate on the ship!
I don't know what MJP is but...Mast is basically a means of punishment. The Commanding Officer of the ship along with other superiors meet together to "discipline" you for a wrong doing. This all has to do with James being off the ship on a duty day back in April ... the night that James and John got in the car accident.
Busted in rate from E-5 to E-4
1/2 months pay timses 2
45 days restriction, 45 days extra duty
30 days restriction/30 days extra duty and also 1 of the 1/2 months pay are "suspended" But yeah none the less I'm busted to E-4, so in all honsety I'll never make E-5 again since i blew my one chance by reenlisting.
Wow, kind of suprising he'd suspend most of the punishment, but not your rank. Usually rank is the last thing they take since it's a career breaker a lot of times.
