you said you got a smokin deal on the bike. 9 thousand dollars is not a smoking deal on any 600.
On a brand new 08 R6 From a dealership thats a pretty good price. Only way to get cheaper is to pay straight cash and work the dealer. New 08 R6's are selling for 10k + on the showroom, kids are eating them up.

I was looking at bikes for a little, highest price I found was 9,200 on a 08r6. I agree 9k or more for a 600 is b.s even when a r1 can be had for less than a grand lol...

was 9200 for a private sale on the bike? Or was this at a dealershiop? Did you actually try to do some finance numbers on it etc? after taxes, warranty, etc its easily 10k. 9k out the door is a good price for a 08 model R6. I'm finding it hard to understand why 600cc's worth of cylinder size makes a bike not worth it for 9k? There is alot of technology in these new Yamaha motors/frames, motor size doesn't determine overall price. 1k for a R1?! maybe for a 01 R1 with 20k+ miles on it that's been downed a couple times. otherwise a new R1 will cost you a little more then the R6, new 08 R1's go for 11kish.
