how much do you boost without the water/meth? how much is safe? i got a little extra power out of my DSP but I want more and my boost seems to wanna adjust itself. Is the boost on the scangauge more accurate than the stock boost gauge? I just now was showing up to like 19.x boost on the scangauge and I'm on stock fuel system

The boost on the scan gauge reads off the map sensor, so assuming you aren't running a piggyback that is clamping the voltage, then it should read very accurately. Seeing that you're on dsp, I would assume you don't have a piggyback. If your boost gauge is still reading from the factory line to the brake booster, you could be losing a few psi between there and the intake manifold ( where the scan gauge reads at), plus autometer boost gauges tend to be a few psi off anyway.

I use a digital vei systems boost gauge, which should be more accurate, but I still tapped a fitting into my throttle body spacer and ran the boost gauge line from there so that it would be more precise as to what was actually going in the motor.

the vei gauge is definately not accurate. i just took mine out. it was 3 psi off from my scan gauge

Read what I posted.

I bet if you hook it up to where mine is hooked up, it will be almost dead with the scan gauge. Mine is That is assuming you don't have a leak between the tbody spacer and the intake manifold.

i run the same boost with or without meth, without meth i run 11.5 a/f ratio. with meth 12.3-5a/f ratio + 35degrees timing @ 6k rpm.

before the s2 injectors and meth i was spiking 19-20pis falling to 14-15 @6k rpm. a/f ratio was 11.8-12.0 stock fuel system+ fuel pump rewire from ptp
280hp 330tq

according to my boost guage am holding 18-19 psi @6k rpm but the dsp is showing 14-15 psi hold @6k rpm

are you talking the cobalt ss or the camaro ss

cobalt in the 1st couple vid; tune and k/n drop in filter(they hold 22psi to redline)

in the last vid, same cobalt plus exhaust.

camaro ss; miner bolt ons

Yeah I'd guess 18 psi is about all that's safe without any fuel mods.

Son of a bitch. I don't really wanna max out the stock turbo but I do want more out of it though A lot of people think I won't break into the 12's with slicks/bolt on's/tune so I wanna prove them wrong =)
