nice race. i left feedback on streetfire before the haters/shit talkers post
Yeah, someone always has something to say when an SRT beats an Evo. I'll admit it, I lost. Their isn't much I can say about it other than it was a clean race and the faster car won.
holy hell, nice mod list on the SRT.I had a feeling he was going to win
he could most likely take me if he took that MR..i thought i was friggin Vin Diseal with S2 and open DP
With a messed up clutch I can't race from a dig, so I lose my AWD launch advantage.
Plus the power to weight ratio of the SRT is great!! I have maybe low 300's to the wheels in a near 3300lb car.
His car pulled pretty damn hard up top!! It stayed relatively close until we were getting close to 100 and then he started walking away!!
In the first race you can't see the speedometer, but I let off at the top of 5th so I think that's in the 130's. I think he said he took it up to 150.
Overall, I enjoyed the race. I'll need to race a slower SRT, or race from a lower speed that will hopefully promote wheelspin to try to get back a little bit of an advantage.
Wow, that's actually not the outcome I was expecting because of the mods on your evo...good race man, and props to you for actually posting a loss...not many people do that nowadays.
i convinced my friend to get into DSM's after him watching me put 1G Talons in the low 12's/ 11's for years with almost no $...whats he do, gets a Evo 9.
we did 3" ebay downpipe/o2 no cat into stock cat-back, buschur intake, MBC and a dyno tune and with 110oct he was running 11.8. hell i went 12.4@112 in it my first time at the track with him.
first you have my respect for having the balls to post this. I didnt expect that outcome though. EVOs are evil beast here where im stationed at. But then you have mustangs x1,000,000,000. there are several srt and alot of evos. sti is growing fast, ive won and lost against all. Usally comes down to money. who has spent the cash. sometimes driver mod kiks in lol. ive pissed alot of peope off, but after talking with them everything was cool. because they got to know me and i wasnt a big headed my car is God deal. when i get beat, i make sure to always give the winner props.
P.S. Unless your a honda, then we dont even have to go over 60
just a joke- but i dont like them<--------personal
I really don't have too much as far as power adders are concerned. The Drop-in doesn't really count. So, I have a Full exhaust (stock O2 housing though), MBC and a Flash. Considering IX's dyno around the mid 200's, or lower depending on the dyno, around 300WHP is pretty close to what I think I have. Maybe a little more.
Now consider I have a 3280LB car, plus me (190LBS) and my g/f (120lbs).
He prolly has more torque than I do, and may have close to the same WHP. He's in a 2900lb car and it's a roll race.
I'm not making excuses for the loss, trust me. I'm just saying Evo's can be quick, but the power to weight ratio is still in the favor of the SRT. Especially in the roll race.
I like to do roll races though. It puts a lot less strain on my drivetrain because AWD launches aren't exactly good. Plus if I'm able to keep up with cars from a roll, that makes me happy cause Evo's and Sti's aren't really known for roll racing.
Plus, he was a real cool guy, so I could definitely care less if I lost. I hate losing to pricks!!

When i raced an MR with a reflash,he was faster then shit from a mid roll but from a low roll,we were pretty much head to head.I am assuming that his turbo spools a little bit quicker then mine did, because he took off immediatly while i was still building boost (even from a 40 roll)

Yeah, if you look at the first race, I pulled ahead right away and he started walking me down. I dunno what would happen if we raced at a higher roll. I figured 30 was a good start. I'll try 45, or 50 next time.
good races man that was a lot of fun and thanx everybody for the props his car is really nice and fast as hell dan we got to get together again some time the first race i didn't get too much traction haha
