very nice, thanks for posting!
Was the track not prepped well? everyone is spinning. Looks like a lot of street tires, but even some slick cars were just spinning half way down the track!

It's weird to me. Roll racing at a drag strip with no times or trap speeds. It's cool because its way safer than actual street racing. I'm conflicted though because its roll racing at a drag strip. For me of much rather have the time slips to go with it. But like I said at least it's not on the street with lots of people around

Listen, it was probably for something with a small or no fee, and little to no Tech inspection. If they told me I could go heads up from a 30 roll or something I'd still love to do it, street tires, slicks, or whatever. It's still better than street racing, and its still fun.
Or does someone disagree, and want to tell us why this is not fun?

the event is called Street racing made safe (streetracingmadesafe.com) .. its a good friend of mine that has started this non profit organization and rents out our local drag strips, for people to roll race, dig race, arm drop, etc without worrying about getting in trouble...
and your right Project 03r/t ... no track prep, no times, just street cars racing in a sanctioned event... legally..

Or does someone disagree, and want to tell us why this is not fun? the tracks still have their full tech inspection, so the cars must pass basic tech, if they dont they cant run.. cost $5 to watch and $20 to run all day... pretty much run what you brung if you know what i mean.. that was the first one that PBIR (moroso) let him do there so people would have more room and faster cars... but he's held about 6 or 7 at countyline dragway in miami, but its only 1/8 mile...

I'd just love to have the clock set up so you can still at least get trap speeds but do the roll races still.

it'd be hard because they were setting up cars behind the tower to be able to get up to at least 40mph to start running WOT, so times wouldnt be real accurate

Ahhhh. I like the idea of the event. I won't bash or hate on it one single bit. I love the idea. Props!

I would definitely love to do that too. It was just so odd seeing people race like that at a drag strip. Ive never seen anything like that before. Only have heard of events like this at air strips

Very true. By the way I'm not bashing on this one bit. I think it's much safer and looks seriously fun and I'd absolutely love to do this my self. I would just run to get slips so I knew what it runs then hit this event up. Looks fun bring it to Bakersfield and I'll show up Sent from
