again would like to thank J-SRT4 and Havoksrt4 for allowing me the opportunity to showcase their rides for Tampa and the rest to see. It took mofobucs a while to get this all lined up, it took some convincing to get them both to come out and i did get the opportunity to drive both of the cars for the taping of this video. There were actually a few more races that night involving both these cars that didnt get filmed but i will say that after that night and before the video was posted up for everyone to see, word spread like wildfire about the 2 neons that could
It still makes me proud to have been involved with both owners/cars in some way or another. It was a long journey up to that night and i do remember holding the steering wheel of the silver car very tightly, leaning foward and saying....."if i had 18k to spend right now...this car would soooo be mine but i just cant take the plunge please keep it man" to owner who was sitting next to me. That was after the race with the orange cobra, hell the guy with the Cobra wanted to buy the car outright after that night. As it stands now the red car is now owned by forum member Figs, hes changed it alot but the DCR s3 setup remains and them some The silver car was parted out, brought to stock and sold to a gentleman in Mn who also owns a silver DCR'd SRT4..im unsure what his sn is on here. Me...i have since put together a couple of 44lb S3 cars and a few other big wheeled S3 cars just havent been able to get in on some mofobucs action as the cars in tampa just keep getting rediculously faster everytime i update myself on the scene down there.
As it stands the fastest SRT4 in tampa atleast that has been to a track is Zaksblklabel's car and i took it to an 11.62 @ 120 on 23-24psi spike out of a 47lb wheel/ported S3 turbo with an FBM mammoth S3 mani with supporting mods. Had the toybox set to boost by gear too instead of DAB3 the whole way down The other car im trying to track is Envious8 who like OshawaSRT purchased one of 2 44lb S3s i had done by Blouch, if Oshawa got close to the 10s one of the 2 cars i just posted about should be just as close too

Yeah but didn't J-SRT have a 47lb wheel instead of the 44lb wheel I can't remember who said it but it's on the forums here somewhere. I've been trying to find the right upgrade path for my stage3 but I'm a little indicisive. I want something that spools a little before 3k rpm but still has the top end to beat almost anything in a roll race I plan on using a modified head and either crane 12's or 14's.

Huh your saying that 23psi is the max you can run on this turbo?
On mine, yes that was the case. Drastic reported this as well as frasier. Thats 3 highly known sources having the same problem with the exact same turbo.
I ran internally gated FnF portaed manifold, with a upgraded AGP s3 WGA(plus stiffer spring). PTP 49lb wheel.
Frasier had a ext gat, i think tial and prolly 38mm but im not sure. PTP 49lb wheel.
Before this gets out of hand, a lot of the newbs dont know that PTP and a lot of the other companies upgrading these wheels dont make them. Guys like blouch and another company in florida are the ones thats upgrade these kits.

The purpose of ignition advance is to account for the lag time following spark ignition for combustion pressure to peak at 15 degrees AFTER TOP DEAD CENTER. A little fyi !
Thanks for the comment. I think with the water/meth working I could lower egts and get even better pump numbers because I did expect to see higher.I havent even got to use HOM with this setup so T might dyno it one more time b4 I take it off. With that said,IMO A 44lb or 47lb wheel is the best way to go.If I could do it all over again I would've waiting for bob and get a 47lb mod along with the turbine.

That local car was mine I have every bolt on along with a DCR Pro Sereis head and Crane 16 cams and its a DCR 49lb wheel. I dont know what the deal was but like I said I will be there this next time to make sure everything is working right. But at the end of the day... I just dont feel the 49lb wheel is the best mod for the S3 turbo.
everytime i see this video i wish i could have talked my friend into not parting out the car. His car is the silver one in the first video the thread starter posted.
44lb FOR THE MOFOKIN WIN!!!!
Also...arent you glad you bought that 44lb off me while they still made them? those things are highly sought after and scarsely available USED

i was actually thinkin of gettin the 49lb wheel, but after seeing all these videos and talkin to arron at realtune , it seems like the 44lb wheel is actually the best way to go for street and track , who makes the best 44lb wheel ?? im in the process of actually doing this right now once my clutch gets put in.
o wow .. then ill get the 47lb ... who makes that?
We have that as our only option now. The 49lb wheel only works with those that have head work on know how to tune for it. The 47lb wheel makes it much easier to tune with and the power is only off 20 HP over the 49lb wheel.

This is why we stepped down to the 47 lb wheel, the larger wheel took to many mod's to make it shine.

Id go with a 47lb wheel, hell i ran my times running pig rich without a tune I barely have any bolt ons my car besides exhaust, turbo, and water/meth.
