Talking 1st time at the STRIP!!!

I had a great time at BMS and took some footage of a few members and I will try and get some more runs posted. Here is my 1st kill at the strip. I had a great time even tho I could not do better than a 14.1. I think I will be spening a few more nights at the strip to work on my launch.
Enjoy, AlterEgo

My 1st kill at the STRIP!

Funny you ask because I have some very nice shots of a Dyno run I had did yesterday with a new frined of mine named ACR something or another (jk) He hooked a brotha up!!! I will post a short clip of the Dyno run maybe tomorrow. I got a very sad 243.8 HP out of my car but it is far from being tuned properly. The WGAK & EBC are not working with each other yet but soon I will learn what the hell I am doing and fix some issues.

hey AlterEgo,

on that one run, did you lose traction right away, hit redline and shifted early?

I noticed in the Vid that your BOV went off before the 60' mark!
i bet on your 1st-2nd shift it bogged a bit and rpms were low?

what was your 60'?

2.30-2.280?

get some good practice on that launch and you'll get to the 13's!

i don't know, i just going by the short vid...

I have no clue what RPM because I am to caught up in the dam stage lights. I have the worst time with keeping the tires from breaking loose form being excited and giving a lil to much gas off the start. I jus need to go out to the track a bunch more to learn.

Here is the info from my 3rd run ever.

8:07PM

CAR #22
R/T - .920
60' - 2.390
330 - 6.264
1/8 - 9.264 _ MPH 80.94
1000 - 11.942
1/4 - 14.182 _ MPH 99.74

Eegad, considering my first time to the track I was pulling high .5's low .6s for my reaction time, you should be in thirteens just with a better reaction. Then a better launch will get you even lower. Its all about practice though.

KILLERBEESRT4 ...Am I mistaken, or does reaction time not count in to your ET, unless it's under special race conditions ??

doh, yoru right! :p I have only gone to the track twice and always forget that. Sorry, I'm wrong, but you could have a better reaction time. I could never figure out why my car had a better 1/4 time but I lost until I realized that that is where the R/T comes in. Hehe.

You will be able to get the 60' time to 2.00 by leaving the line just barely above an idel and rolling on the power and rolling out of the clutch. Too sudden of a release on the clutch or full throttle on this car (long stroke motor) will do nothing but melt the tires.
There are better times to come in the future. Hang in there!

don't feel bad. I had a 2.204 60ft time and ran 14.4 at 93mph. And I didn't miss a shift. I don't think I ran up the RPM's enough in each gear. More practice coming next week

Your Mods are the only thing that got you a 14.1 with a 2.3 60 ft time. get that number down to 2.2, 2.1, or 2.0 and you'll be well into the 13's

You can almost hit 13's with a 2.2 60' time:
