It's my buddies car, a 09 turbo SS Cobalt. The car is completely bonestock with a tune, from Livernois. On the dyno(dynojet) the car made 285Whp & 330lb with roughly 20psi. The boost spikes to 22ish but hold a steady 20psi throughout the powerband. The car has direct injection & runs almost 2200psi fuel pressure. I will let the videos do the talking if there's any questions, feel free. I was completely impressed with the car, feels as powerful as my stg2 skittle was. Enjoy!!!
How is the car completely stock? yet has a tune? just a simple question.
Your about the hundredth person to point this out.
Pretend he said "otherwise" stock with a tune so we don't have to hear it anymore.
He either doesn't know that stock strictly means nothing done to it, or he forgot to write a word. Either way, we know what was done to the car, so who cares.
Damn you ladies sure ate this one up. The has a flash & is completely bonestock other wise. Don't worry as we've done our homework & gave the people what they wanted.
I used to have a stg2 skittle & then went to a stg3 & then nitrous. No joke his car is as fast as my stg2 was on HOM. It would be a great race, the car is no slouch.
It runs 22spikes & a hold of 20psi on 93 pump gas. It made 285hp 330tq on a dynojet. The fuel pressue is 400-600psi in idle & runs 2100-2200psi under full boost. Remember ladies it's direct injection, sprayed directly into the cylinder. Not the intake tract like fuel injection.

im sorry but the whole premise of that video is completely full of bullshit. very nice numbers for a car running more boost and with a tune but to compare to a car running stock boost with no tune is retarded..seriously . it doesnt matter if the other car was an srt4 or a camry.
in that first run is it me or does anyone else hear the boost leak when the srt comes into spool? it had that high pitch whistle you usually get when the compressor discharge coupler is loose
that sound is from a boost leak? i thought it was if you had a SRI.
I raced a red 09 Cobalt SS turbo from a 45 roll twice. He had no passenger, and I had my 200lb friend in the car with me. He was "tuned" with intake and exhaust and he said he dynod 288/310. I was only S1 with intake, exhaust, stock boost levels. I had dynod 264/280 on that setup. I pulled on him twice. First race by 2 cars, 3rd race by a car. We went up to 100 or so.
I find it funny how these Cobalt guys post their kills in this forum. I mean, leave that shit on your stupid cobalt forums. No one cares that you owned aStage 2 SRT-4 before or not.
Wow you beat a stock SRT-4 that is 5 or so years older than your car. Congratulations.
all the Cobalt guys do is "get a tune" Everyone of them has some sort of "tune" on their car.
Your car is still a $22k car. When I got my nsrt-4 for $13k.
Put an SS/TC with a tune up against an SRT-4 with a DSP 93 performance tune and that will be a fair race.
Otherwise this comparison has no validity whatsoever. Of course a modded Cobalt will be faster than a stock SRT, you had to waste money on a dyno and record a video to figure that out?

You can talk about Chevy being late to the party... but from my perspective, Chrysler left the party early. What do we have to compete with an '09 Cobalt? The Caliber.
Chevy FTW.
