Default wire loom route

How are you guys routing the new harness into the engine bay from the cockpit?

Are you guys going the same route turbo toys would use, or are you all drilling a new hole thru the firewall?

Floyd: Are you talking about the harness that enters the engine compartment between the brake booster and the drivers side strut area?

CASPERAMC: Are you talking about the hole by the ODBII connector? Cause that's what I ended up using, but it now runs threw the fender into the engine compartment. I didn't find a more direct route. If I didn't splice it into the factory harness, I wouldn't have had enough wire to get to everything I needed.

Yes, pictures would be awsome... even after the fact and mine already being ran, crimped, soldered, shrink tubed, taped and zip tied up.

well if i took a pic you wouldnt be able to know whats what cuz its reallt cramped, so just reach in the upper left corner of where your feet are, theres already a look coming through with a rubber grommet, its not that hard to find just feel around for it. dont run through the fender

I think Casper is talking about the stock main harness grommet. Well I might be able to fit my MS harness through there BUT I also have a 4awg wire for the amp through there also so its cramped.

Id say thats your best bet really. I used the coat hanger method to get the 4awg in there. Im hoping to do the sam with the MS harness

CASPERAMC: You must have tiny hands! I think I read somewhere that you actually have a 2nd gen chassis... I also have a 2nd gen, and the hole threw the firewall is pretty obvious and not that bad to get to. On the SRT4 though, the engine harness hole is a PITA to get to, and it is almost completely stuffed. I found it... I probably could have gotten it to fit thru there, but I like the route I took better. When I open my hood, you'd really have to look to see that I have MS installed.

take all wires into the engine bay. thats what i did. i actually originally ran my wideband into my cabin, but i had to change it anyway. ground all your wires in the same place with your wideband. also, try to power them from the same place if its an aem. nobody believes me, but that fixed my problem with that. if you dont havean aem dont worry about it lol
