Default super noob

hey hey

im pulling the motor out of my 05 srt-4 for a rebuild. i dont wish to run the car again they way i do without a stand alone installed.

i have read the megasquirt web page thing a few times but i was wondering if there is any srt specifice info that u guys could give me..i know the srts can be a bit of a bitch to work with when i comes to stand alones and emgine managment.

does the ms have any handycaps over the aem ems? does the ms lack any features that the aem ems might have?
im running niitrous meth injection big turbo blah blah blah. i am curenty running dtec for fuel controll but its time for something more. so im looking for somthing to help me control and integrate all those systems.

megasquirt is sounding interesting but i dont know were to start.

It doesn't have sequential fuel injection and the injector resolution is 0.1ms vs 0.001ms. This is only an issue with really big injectors (1000cc+). There is a "high res" version of the MS1 code that does 0.001ms but I haven't ported the NGC crank trigger to it yet. Maybe when there's demand for it. Also, MS2/extra has the same resolution as AEM but still no sequential and it's still in the debugging phase.

Other than that it should be able to do most of what the AEM does. It's not a plug and play deal though. You'll have to wire it up and you'll have to read/study a lot more because there are no SRT specific instructions. That will be up to someone with an SRT to write...

It is a shame. There's tons of NA neons running the megasquirt. SRT's are just a different breed.
