Default Stuff i need (just to make sure)

ok im ready to buy my megasquirt and i will probably be installing it in 3 weeks but i just want to make sure i am getting the right stuff.
right now it will be going on a fairly stock 2004 2.0 NA. i want to have it tuned to the motor with the walbro pump and stage 1 injectors that i will be using when i swap in my newly built motor, so that when i swap, it should start up with the megasquirt and i will only have to worry about fine tuning it. so just to make sure i think i need:

ECU with 4.0 bar map sensor:370
http://www.rs-autosport.net/catalog/...roducts_id=210

Universal Wiring harness:53
http://www.rs-autosport.net/catalog/...roducts_id=229

GM Coolant Temp Sensor, w/ Connector :16
http://www.rs-autosport.net/catalog/...roducts_id=215

GM Intake Air Temp Sensor, w/ Connector :21
http://www.rs-autosport.net/catalog/...roducts_id=216

Total:460

i read that someone had a way to use the stock sensors. any progress on that? id rather use the stock ones than spend more money on unneccesary things

thanks
-mike

http://www.megamanual.com has instruction on how to use the megasquirt with stock sensors. You just need to take measurements from your sensors to get the resistance curves.

ok then i can probably do that for the iat sensor but if i use the coolant sensor, i heard that my gauge wont work anymore because there will be nosignal going to it. is there a way to share the signal?

"Sharing" or simply tapping into the stock signal wire will result in a non-functional guage in your instrument cluster. I was going to try just tapping the lower coolant housing and having both the stock and GM coolant sensors plugged in. I may do the same for the IAT and make it even easier for me to switch between the two in case of any problems.
