ok i had an idea. can i wire up an old coil pack with just some rubber things on the ends (like erasers or something) and some olf injectors back up to the stock ecu and then run a relay to power them all directly off the battery when the key is on so the ecu thinks its running. would that put too much of a drain on the battery? would it even work? would it get rid of codes? i figure if i can get the car to not run any codes, i will know that the ngc comp will not be messing with the car at all
Try an MSD "ignition adapter". When you install an MSD ignition you have to put this big coil looking thing in between the stock ecu and the MSD. All it does (theory) is make the stock ecu think its sitll connected to the coil pack. I believe it would do the same thing with a MS setup.
My guess is you would connect it to power, ground and stock ecu. Then you'd leave the other wires disconnected. This is just theory though. I don't know if it will work.
You might be able to just run a resistor pack instead of injectors for the stock ecu. If you have some old injectors lying around like me, it might just be easier though.
Boost, I've been wondering...do you know what the stock PCM monitors the primary coil wiring for? Short to ground and B+ and open circuit are givens. Does it look for the load and "heartbeat" voltage charge/discharge pattern?

It looks for an inductive spike on the injector grounds. I'm not sure about the coil, but I believe it will be looking for something similar. The ngc is very smart and has been programmed to look for this stuff to aid chrysler techs for troubleshooting issues.
bringing back from the dead...guess who has noooo codes me lol old injectors and an old coil pack.. supplied a 12v to them and wired them to ecu no codes at all. just make sure if you do it, properly isulate the ends of the coil pack. some electrical tape will not do it and its not a good feeling
