Thad,

Congrats!

I worked out my problems from my other thread. I'll update it later if anyone cares to check.

But since I've fixed it, it started right up in the cold today. Again, my car starts better the colder it is. I think my more recent backfiring problem was because I had my priming pulse firing after two seconds but had spark firing right away.

So I'm thinking what was happening is when the inj would first fire to get the air out the rail, there would be some air and fuel in the line and it would catch the wasted spark and backfire. I don't know... I'm reaching but it hasn't backfired yet in the four starts I've given it.

But I'm also having the initial "cold" start die after a second or two.... and if its running and I turn it off before its all the way warmed up, it won't start again w/o a lot of cranking.

Time to work on those WUE and AE settings. That's about where I am at right now. Good luck!

This car needs some pretty significant cranking pulse widths for proper one try cold starts. My 100-160 degree settings seem to be correct (for my non-stock car anyways). It is basically a beefed up version of Una's WUE, ASE, and cranking settings for his N/A 2.4. I'm hoping to have all the settings down to the 40 degree portion by the end of the week (It only gets down to 38 at night). This is with my IAC blocked off by the way.
