Default Megasquirt srt4 set up information

Guys, we need to get a single post together with all the basic start up settings for the srt. We need to know what version of mse to use, what the ignition settiings should be, all the good info. I'm requesting this because I haven't seen any posts that really explain the software side of the set up. This will make it alot easier for anyone thinking about going MS. Thanks to all the pioneers!!!!!!!!!!

Well at one point mine was starting up perfect both cold and warm startups, but there was issues with revving high. I left it with my tuner buddy for another day and when I got off work I called to find out it was revving to 7k perfectly. Although since revving perfectly the startups were now taking 7 seconds or so. I took the manafold off to install EGT gauge and well decided to sell the turbo and go bigger. Sooooo just waiting on new turbo to come in so I can start fooling with it again.

Yeah, I've been gone for awile. Other things pulled me away. But I'm back now and am looking at getting some setup information together in an easy to read and understand format. Kinda like the MS manuals only srt4 specific. I never got my MS installed and am still thinking about it but I, like others, don't want to have to sift through 90 some pages of posts to get that info.

If someone has a good msq file they can email me, I can get all the basic settings from that. I'm not trying to steal anyone's settings, just need to get the basic info together for those that are thinking of going MS. Thanks guys.

Well thats what I thought I had. The car was cranking just fine both cold and warm off of a basic msq to get everyone started revving to 7k. Since it was modifyed a bit by the guy who installed mine the good cold and warm starts went away, but that was also all in a new msq file. I believe I still have the original msq that is basic to get the car going with good cold and warm starts. When my turbo comes in I plan on loading that msq and givnig it a try...I am almost 100% sure that it will work fine. If so I will be giving to boostin for him to upload or someone to upload for everyone.

Tomorrow I am going to calibrate the CLT and AIT sensors to get a stock car to operate on the MS. I'll get you some a base MSQ to use. I have no problems tuning warmup enrichments and I have pleanty of maps from MS and AEM tunes similar to my setup to work with.

Then once this is done, hello MS2

The "neon mod" is really a hardware mod to make the tach input circuit work with a hall effect crank sensor. That modification will be required.
