I was hoping that by the time my slow a** finished building my MS that this would be figured out. I wish I knew what to do to help figure this problem out but I have no idea.

I am starting to lean back towards a trigger wheel now.

Speaking of trigger wheels how does that work in regards of those things mounting onto the crank wheel? Anyone know if we have threaded holes in the stock crank pulley (like for a pulley removal tool) to attach the trigger wheel to? If not, how else would the trigger wheel be mounted to the crank pulley?

Is it possible (or feasible) to put a trigger wheel onto the cam sprocket? I realize the cam will rotate two full turns per engine revolution, but does that eliminate the cam location possiblity?

I'm not trying to get off topic too much here just trying to figure out other options, and get a little clarification.

From the best of my knowledge there is a guy that was on the forums that makes an adapter for the underdrive pully that is offered for our car as far as putting it on the cam spocket I am unsure hope this helps

An external trigger isn't hard. I used the stock crankshaft bolt to tension against a (simple) custom trigger wheel. My car has no A/C or P/S, so there was lots of room for a sensor mount. Not sure on the SRT's....

I finally hooked everything up tonight, tried it. I'm not getting any RPM input, so I'm back to troubleshooting in the dark. Probably get to it sometime this week. (problem not code related)

To those who got it running: Boost's msq should at the very least get me started/coughing as is, correct? When cranking, you had 'some' rpm read on the display, right? I had enough signal to get the MS into 'cranking' mode, but no rpm was displayed on screen or in the RT display. I'll have to double check the wiring and input mods. I may temporarily hook the EDIS up (last running config) in order to make sure the MS is ok after a year in a damp (!@#$) garage.r

EDIT: NIX EDIS, I have another 2.0 Neon to use for testing.

Nathan

When I implemented my MS on my car I could not get mine started on boost's msq. Neither could a few others. Goto his msq share page and download mine. Clear at the bottom, name is matt. had a few guys get theirs started on mine. On initial start up the req fuel and take away as needed.

njansenv: What engine are you trying to run on? NGC block? Did you load in the modified firmware and set it up for 36-2?

Yup, NGC block. (I had been running EDIS + 36-1 last year when it starved for oil).
I am running your code (1st page of thread) and the msq that is found there as well. I discovered a wiring error on my MS late last night (I thought I had converted it back to Neon input from EDIS but was wrong).

I'm fairly certain at this point that it's an install issue, and not code. I don't know that I'll have time tonight, but will keep you all updated through the week.
I have 0 rpms showing and no spark. PW only occurs from priming pulse.

Yep, it wont work until its reading RPM. Once you get it working do us all a favor and check the timing with a light a degree wheel (nobody has done that yet). If yours still stops at 6200 rpm then there's a good chance its a code issue.

Good luck. 8)

Thanks. I'll definitely hook up the timing light...and try to run past 6200rpm! Hopefully by Saturday, depending on how busy work gets.

Spec,

How did the car run with the fuel only setup? I can't remember if you had that setup running or not. If so, did you have the stock injectors plugged in (as well as larger injectors) to fool the computer? Overall how did it run? Did it have any hiccups?

How did you confirm the timing? Did you use a degree wheel?

As it stands right now the only guy with a running megasquit on a NGC engine is hitting some sort of rev limit at 6200 rpm. It's s till unclear what is causing it exactly.
