Default Just making sure....

This has been on my mind.....since alot of things are controlled by my MS does it effect how knock is read? What I mean is I have a aeroforce gauge that is hooked into my obd port under the dash. It reads everything the pcm is reading. Since its not reading timing correctly due to it not controlling it anymore...will that effect the use of the gauge itself reading knock? I know there is a knock sensor, but does the car only read knock when its pulling timing or is the other way around.....where when the sensor starts reading knock it pulls timing? I just want to make sure the gauge I am relying on to read knock is still doing so.

im pretty sure you will be fine. the car pulls timing when it senses knock, so you should get the warning for that

Since your PCM is possibly in "limp in" because it doesn't see the coil or injectors I would be worried. I don't know for sure so I would ask an engineer or someone in the know. You could turn the timing up enough to where you know there's knock and see what it says...

hmm scary indeed....wish I would know if it was reading knock correctly Guess I will find out from a dyno graph when I go to get it tuned.
