Default big problem

ok wired up ms yesterday to just view what was going on but not control anything (crank signal, tps signal, 5 volt signal, power wire and ground to ms, sensors, and i also put the fuel pump and the asd relay to in 37 on the ms) ok yesterdayit wouldn't start. today i otit to start by splicing into the wire from the pcm (C1-11) to power the ms instead of cutting it and then attaching the wire from ms to the pcm side of the cut. then the car sounded like it wanted to start but it sounded like a dead battery. i tried again to start it and it barely cranked over and then ran. when i shut it off, the fuel pump continued to run and the pcm was humming. the only way to shut that off was the negative terminal on the battery. then i tried to run it again and it started and i ran it until it was warm then shut it off. the fuel pump shut off, but the pcm still hummed so i pulled the negative terminal. now when i try to start the car, the gauges (speedo) runs through a check and recalibrates( needle sweeps then comes back at increments) and when i put the key to start, i get a click from the starter and everything goes dead. i don't know what to do. if someone can help you will be my best friend forever. you can contact me by replying, pms, or my AIM is TWOptSL0W (the 0 in slow is a zero) AIM would be preferred.

thanks
-mike

well heres where i am today. got the ms in and ran it off the fuel pump relay. it worked fine. got crank, tps, wideband, and clt hooked up and works. i cant get my stock iat to work, so i ordered the gm one. now heres the problem. everytime i get the ms to start up with megatune, it gets messed up as soon as i shut the car off. i cant start it up again unless i download the firmware back onto the controller and burn my msq on it again. any ideas anyone?

How big are your injectors? What fuel pressure? What's the idle pulse width? Are your VE and spark tables flat around idle?

injectors are 19lbs, not sure about fuel pressure, its a walbro 255, im only running fuel at the moment, and my we table is fairly flat there. it goes up or down by 1, not sure about the idle pulse width, where is that?. its a 2.0 btw, not sure if that makes a difference

Hmm if you dont have a return line on the car then your running stock fuel pressure. I know on the srt the stock fuel pressure is 58......I dont know what it is for the 2.0's. Maybe fool with timing at idle to fix? I know with mine it took awhile to get it to idle correctly.

ehh i guess can deal with it for a while until i do spark and whatever, still cant get the cranking settings right for a warm start (im already at ~180) it kinda tries to start and then barely climbs up in the rp until idle, but it doesnt pass it and then even out like it should. also obviously doesnt crank over right away like it should. and for autotune. should i just set it up and then drive around town for a while at all speeds and whatnot and my a/f are all over the place all the time. especially when driving. cruising, braking, accelerating...looking at my log file now, my pw isnt constant either, anyway to fix that?

mine use to start up perfect when david initially fooled with the car...then one day it was hard to start both cold and warm...takes about 7-10 seconds of cranking until it starts...i havent a clue how to fix that.

I had the warm start settings down pretty good (100F-160F). The car does like a good amount of cranking fuel. I believe the cranking PW I had at 160F was 2.8-3.0. Somewhere around there. I also had the return for trigger A set to 15 for a supposed 10 degrees of cranking timing. The stock PCM has a cranking advance of 9 degrees.
