Hi,

sorry for taking this long Boost, things has been really busy at the shop.

Well here is the .msq file of our project, its an SRT4 on a PT Cruiser box. Its a really nice project from a friend called Kiko at Speed Performance, a local speed shop here in Puerto Rico.

MegaSquirtPR assembled the Megasquirt and tune it in coolaboration with him. We are giving the .msq because we feel its our turn to give you back since it was only for your initiative that we got the MS1 code for the engine and any help we could give you just ask. Also a big thanks to Vschaos for giving us a base .msq to confirm our basic settings and start with.

I'm posting a few pics of the car for you guys to enjoy it. After all its an SRT heart beat inside the box , the car was dynoed at 305HP at the wheels with an auto tranny and loosing some mayor torque at 18PSI. So it must be near 350+ at the crank... no flaws, runs great.

I hope this info could help you solve the issues. We are running code 029v_ngc3

Grab it here: http://www.MegaSquirtPR.com/manuals/...0708102116.msq

Awesome and no problem on letting you see what I had for my running car...it wasnt much at the time, but hey thats what it is. Soon though my car will be put back together and I will be taking it to get it tuned on my setup.....big turbo, return-line, 750cc's, blah blah and hopnig to make 450whp on pump gas and stock motor . Its gonna cost me a good penny getting the car tuned..prob around $600, but I will most likely still post it on here for people. If it helps them I dont necessarily want "payment" so to speak since it is open source, but some money would be great ya know.

I just feel at times people want want want and people like boost junkie, yourself, casper, guhfluh, etc....basically everyone here give back and try to help one another. I was lost and still am on the fine tuning aspect of things which is the reason I am paying someone good money to get it tuned correctly and hope to get an understanding of some more of the features in the MS unit itself. I know he has never asked, but when I get my car tuned and get a little extra cash I will be donating some funds to boost junkie. If it werent for his coding and fixing issues we wouldnt be where we are at today. I would expect if people use MegaSquirtPR.com's code and it helps them(and will) then I would hope some folks would take the initiative to give a little back. Not asking for big bucks....just a thank you would satisfy us all I believe. Then again people wont jump on the megasquirt band wagon until there is a respected code out there for people to use.

Thank you all for your comments and I don't mind sharing the tuned .MSQ after all, every engine is different in some sense so its always a pain to get things the way one wants it.

However still the .MSQ contains information that has give us a lot of hardwork to come with. Specially timing information. Everything over there is tuned profesionally at a dyno facility for serveral ocations in order to get it tune, even tough there is always room to improve. Maybe still a lot. Thats why I asked the owner of the car for permission before actually posting the file. We just feel like giving back as a token. Like I said I hope this file will help you guys and I hope others do the same with .MSQ's, code or whatever helps, even opinions help a lot so that counts too. There is great people here that wants to help and thats whats make a forum useful otherwise is just blah blah...

The installation of the PT was made by its owner we only supervise it and give some insight information in order to get it done the right way but its Kiko's work. We do set things at the electronics side However I will post on our page later on some of our finished installs because we do it right too
hehe..

Seriously, the car is a daily driven in our hot climate so maybe afterstarts and stuff are tad off for some of you guys and small details like injectors size, etc, but otherwise it should be a really nice startup. It definetly cost us some bucks (because we sponsor it too) but then again every person time's could be traduced to money if someone wants, so there is a LOT of time from Boost and the rest of the crew so we have benefit from that too, from James and the MS crew too, at the end we don't want to look at it money-wise. I feel we are always better if we can rescue somehow some ancient friendship sense instead of talking bucks, even tough bucks are a reallity we could not ignore at the end, sadly...

I can't provide the specs because its a client's ride and we have to respect our client's privacy. I just don't want to abuse since its slowly becoming a serious project otherwise I would tell. I can answer questions that relates to the installation however.

Again, thank you all and enjoy it.

the timing map is 10 across the board... is that how your are running the car?

That could certainly explain the low HP.

the only question I have for you MegaSquirtPR was the MSQ file for the stock PT Cruiser before the addition of the big turbo and 750's or after the installation of them I was unclear on that I am assuming that it is the tune after installation but I am not sure

on a side note I should have the MS up and running on the car this weekend hopefully it rained here last weekend

A Big Thanks To All Of The Coders And Testers Of The MEGASQUIRT

I haven't done anything on the code. I have steve @ rs-autosport testing on the bench and he cannot see any issues below 7k rpm and I we have reports from Jose that he's not having any issues. What we need to nail down is what's really happening with the people have the issue. Need to start drawing parallels. Same hardware? Same config? Same wiring? etc...

Yep, we are taking it slow for now. With that low HP and we are loosing lots of torque due to converter issues... so no rush yet. The car is being reinforced at the tranny an its being converted to manual. Then the fun is on the way! So youre right it will not be savy to use our timing values at the table at least. At spark settings timing is confirmed with timing light at the dyno and it was responding and shifting up-down nice and stable. The file is mostly intended for people to see the actual settings and stuff.

Thanks for the observation anyways!

its interesting that you use a spark angle of 51 and crank deg at 20 rather than the suggested numbers. Im going to try this tomorrow and see if it smoothes things out
