Well the other day i went to the track and i havent started my car in a few days and havent really drove it in a few weeks... i pulled it off the trailer and when i went to go around the pits to warm it up it wouldnt go past 4000 rpms without dieing.... when i would set still it would die just revving it up...
so i took it out onthe streets outside the track and gave it hell... and it cleared up and ran fine the rest of the day... has anyone ever had this to occur...?
Does anyone think it is ems related or perhaps and sensor or coil maybe malfunctioning until it gets warmed up really well
well the afrs stay around the 13 to 14 range but that could be the o2 adjusting... not sure iwill look at it this weekend at the track again... putting it all back together today..

yeah but what happens to the afrs on throttle tip in? its probably going lean
i think i see a problem , i just looked at that log
open up that log and overlay vehicle speed..its not reading it. if theres a problem with that sensor it can cause havoc.its tied in with all the other 5 volt sensors
ok well here we go again... i messed with it today and now it wont start at all... just cranks... but guess what... put the stock ecu in and it starts right up and i can rev past 4000 and it wont die...
I called aem they are going to look at it again... it has to be something in the ffn aem that is causing this... there is no reason why it will start and stay running with the stock ecu and not with the aem.. unless there is something wrong in the box... I am so aggrevated at this car right now i could puke... ever since i put the aem on it and got done with this build it has been one thing or another... i have made 10 passes in the past year and half... I ran faster with a stock engine with the 60-1 turbo kit from agp and the afc tuning it...

its funny you said that, the samething happened to me, my speed sensor was in and out and when it would go out my 2 step would kick in i was shooting flames down the highway
i havent driven my car for like 3-4 months. well i drove it 3 days ago, had to jump start it n then it was good, but when i drove off, my brake light n abs light turned on, n then off after a lil time, why???

dude mine is doing the same thing to a certain extent... but mine will do it sitting still... when i rev up to 4000 the shit just dies...
the ecu went out friday... hopefully jay... when it comes back i can track down the issue... going to take it to my buddies auto electric place and have him run diagnostics on it to see if he shows a short or ground issue...
then hopefully by then i am on to my next mod we talked about the day i was at the track....yeah baby... working on the funds now...
well got an email back from aem they found an issue
Issue Resolution: He's going to do an internal log and send it to us for inspection. see attached log file Internal log showed us low voltage in the parameters window as well as no T2PER. Inspected unit, found damaged sensor ground trace. Repaired trace and tested. Passed all tests on the bench.
so yesterday i got the car in the shop to pull the tranny and revved it up so when i did i noticed when i got to the upward rpms the check engine light come on... p1187 when i looked it up it was a eot low voltage code.... What would cause that...? running off the stock ecu..
