Default uego

i meaured the voltage on the sensor but the meter i have only measured the whole no.(3volts), i read on the instructions, that the uego measures 3.96 and with it unplugged ,i set the gain on the ems to about 1.67(with the ignition to the on position snd not running)until the voltage on the ems parameter said 3.96v. after starting the car, i just can't get the wideband and the ems to see the same a/f. i do have low gas due to the car being in storage. but when i put gas in, then both the wideband and the ems will change. i did change the numbers on the cal. table since they were way off. can someone lend a hand, so that i can get this right? by the way i did change gain settings from 1 and up to 2, to change the voltage, but the ems stays in the 15-17.8 range and my wideband stays between 12-14 range.

if you did the proper calibration it is very close.....i did notice the ems reads the sensor at a faster and more accurate rate than the gauge does.....maybe thats your problem

that gain sounds way off. when you measure the voltage with the sensor unplugged at the pcm it should read somewhere around 2.XX volts.
the gain is usually somewhere around .8 - 1.1 i dont think i have ever seen it higher.

also and this goes for everyone
the ground for the aem wideband MUST BE A SUFFICIENT GROUND!!!!
if the ground is not good you will never read right and 02 feedback will be way off.

what i usually do is run the ground for the wideband directly to the battery ground and i also run extra grounds from the battery to the pcm sensor grounds.

i noticed that at startup the a/f said @12-13 buit once the car warms up it settles around 14-15, so i think it is good, it is the ems that has a higher number,it could be the gain. thanks, hey nevertoomuch, have you taken a look at the email i sent you ,on my map?

the wideband has the same setting as the ems, though it stays around 12-13 during idle and 11-10 while running. it is the base map with the cma adjustment, from the aem website. the car runs decent,i just want to get it ready enough to take it to n2mb for tuning. i believe they would rather the car be prepaired for tuning. so i have to get the sensors and stuff like meth installed.
