Default serious boost gauge/vaccum questions.techs?

i install my ems and s362 kit a nd was told when i installed the aem boost solenoid, to take the line going to the boost gauge, off the turbo and just leave running off the throttle section. i am not saying this person is wrong, i am just curios, the line going to the throttle is a vaccum source, isn't it? when does it see boost(so that the boost gauge can see boost). i connected the compressor side that originally went to the boost line, and ranit to the port 1 and from 2 to the top wastegate. just need someon to explain this to me, to have a better understanding and see where i am going to feed the meth line to

maybe its me or the way you are explaining it but that makes no sense.the line going to the boost gauge doesnt go to the throttle its teed off by the brake booster,on the solenoid you would need to run a line from the turbo to the bottom of the gate and tee that into the in port of the solenoid.then you will go from the out port of the solenoid to the top of the gate

anf the extra port is left open to atmosphere.the reason why there are 3 ports is thwere are two different ways to control the solenoid,in a normally open(no) and normally closed (nc) state

i may have explained it wrong, the line i am talking about is the line that goes to the turbo and other stuff, and runs by the battery, and it has a tee from the factory that is green and black, that is the one am talking about.
