Default s1 srt + ems = 300 whp?

i have an 05 with stage 1,, agp wga, greddy spec 2 b/c, and k&n intake

i eventually am going to need aem ems and i found a relly good deal on it ...

but should i put it on now or wait till i get more supporting mods?

could i get 300 whp out of the stock turbo with this or still need bigger injectors?

why do you want ems, get DSP for 1/3 the price, not to mention you have no major mods. ems is a waste on your car

Yes the AEM is definitely priced well over the DSP or SCT, but I would never go as far as to say it's a waste. Even for a mildly modded car.

ask yourself a few questions

#1 how educated in engine theory are you
#2 how familiar with engine tuning are you
#3 is this a daily driver
#4 what type of mods are in the near future for ya

if you think the EMS is a plug and play you would only be partially right, but you wll need ton of knowledge to make it work juss OK, OR have jay from N2MB tune it for ya(free plug for the master)

and just for the people saying the EMS is expensive ....lol.... with all that this does and is included, boost controller, instant wizard to change any sensor or injector, seperate n2o maps, 2 step ect, ect, ect just figure how much those map adjustments for the diablo cost (just to change sensors and injectors) and how long it will take a vendor to do them and then you can only move a tiny amount of fuel or timing and cannot change the major VE contores unless you pay out the ass for CMR

THE EMS IS 100% WORTH EVERY PENNY

BUT its not for everybody, and its not for the beginner

go to the web site and download the software and instruction manual, play with the software and read the manual that will give you an idea if its for you (EMS 500 pages compared to the DSP 10 page manual)

ours are the 30-1510 EMS Instructions ------this is only the install instructions

software and manual http://forum.aempower.com/downloads/...ease070406.EXE

please disregard all ignorant post's by noobs <----

i assumed the op was a noob as well if he needed to ask this, but the ems is not a waste its a standalone and u can do essentially anything with it, what we're saying is why buy something so expensive that doesnt fit your needs?

but i was hasty... silentscream you said u WILL need it, so tell us why u WILL need it... or is this under wraps for now

You don't need any knowledge of engine tuning @ all to have EMS. Whether or not it's a DD doesn't matter either. There's plenty of people out there w/ EMS tuned cars that they drive around allllll day w/ anywhere from 300whp-450+whp. I have PLENTY of friends that just have the money for it & just pay to have it tuned & it runs better than stock & they NEVER have to mess w/ it. If there ever were to be a problem, just takea log of w.e. it is & you're tuner will gladly help you.

If you have the money for it, & plan on havin' a nasty set-up down the road, then just buy it now.

To answer your question, a srt w/ these power mods tuned w/ EMS will make 300whp.

3in TBE
Intake
Plugs/Wires
FMIC
WGA
Fuel Modzz

300whp.

Ehh, you MIGHT be able to do it w/o it but you can heat soak that stocker pretty damn easy.

Get an EBAY one for like $250 shipped.

Hardpipes won't make that big ofa difference. Ours just suck cause they're rubber.

PLENTY of people on here have run 400+whp set-ups on ebay fmic's.

<-----He's one of em.

Any EMS is a great investment. Your car will run great with it.

i am sure thats true but for some a 3-4 psi pressure drop would make the differance between a bigger turbo (or negate the effects of BB's) i am not saying that e-bay IC's are all bad some are very good and rank with name brand but most are junk (some name brands are junk too )but for most the differance between a $600 race IC and a $200 E-bay IC are not going to be that noticable
