Default Map

Hey guys,

I re-installed my EMS (long story) and now am in need of a base map that will work for my setup until I can get my local shop to tune it (which should be next week sometime). I just need something that is safe until I can get into the shop (I will be driving VERY conservative on this map until then). Could anywone help me out?

Mods:

EMS (non UEGO)
AGP 3147
Stage 2 injectors and sensors
AEM Full CAI
stock internals
stock throttle body
ATP UPP w/Greddy Type S BOV
full 3" exhaust w/cat and magnaflow muffler
MPX intercooler
Stock spark plugs gapped at .035 (if I should be using a different gap then let me know)
I was using a mbc @ 15psi, but now that I have the EMS installed I will be using the stock boost solenoids.
Stock fuel pump with stock fuel pressure (hopefully changing soon)

I think that's everything that would effect tuning. I do have an AEM UEGO gauge so I can moniter my AFR's. Any help would be great!

Thanks,
Chris

From what I have learned from reading other threads in this section is that the most knowledgeable about the AEM EMS and tuning it are going to tell you to start with the base tune within the AEM software and then following the directions make adjustments to make it roadworthy and safe so you can drive to the tuner OR just bring everything to a tuner for the install and setup.

It seems that almost all of the tunes that can be uploaded from someone else is going to be ultimately wrong and a waste of the effort to work with, the base tune is just for the purpose you're looking for.

You may be able to contact a tuner and make arraignments for YOU to get the base installed and the car running and then send the tuner a log file for review. The tuner can then send you a simple improved map to make it better (but not 100% since this would be via email). I think you could get a decent enough tune this way to get you driving safely if you are not confident in working from the base map yourself. Once running you can drive to the tuner of choice and get it tweaked in person.
