How do i install this thing, i bought it on supra forums and it needed a harness...natuarally no instructions. Im posting on aem forums but if anyone has done it please chime in.
LEFT HOOK UP - Don't know?
MIDDLE WIRES - Tap into the EMS?
RIGHT HOOK UP - Hooks to computer for logging, correct?
Red - Power
Green - ???
Black - Ground

The only thing i can find on AEM's forums is how to set it up once its already installed...Ill search some more.

The purpose of ignition advance is to account for the lag time following spark ignition for combustion pressure to peak at 15 degrees AFTER TOP DEAD CENTER. A little fyi !
Ok so let me get this straight, my actual AEM EMS box has to have the serial hook up to show it right??? Do all boxes have this hook up??
lol, no it hooks into the obd2/db9 adaptor, so you wont be able to use it when the computer is hooked up unless you hardwire it, i think its only 4 wires but its been a long time
i had to modify mine by cutting out the conectors on the back and custom wire it up for the pillar pod

My serial guage plugs into the serial port out on the EMS. When I tune I have no guage.
But why would I need it, when I have software with all the guages I need.
You will love the thing after you spend some time setting up the streams and configuring it.
I have populated 18 of the 19 streams and I'm waiting on my EGT for #19.
Setting up the warning parmeters is crazy at first but you can get the hang of it pretty fast. If i see more then 6 counts of kr in X time it flashes FUK FUK FUK at me....ROFL.
So heres a question, do the parameters you set up change with different maps(I would assume, yes)....Meaning if i have a pump gas tune and i want a warning to come on at 23lbs but on my race gas tune its set to 29lbs, is that possible?

I change .CAL files with my Fuels. Thats the only event I could justify needing another Calibration for the SG for. Otherwise it's a modification to the current .CAL file.
