ok we are workign on tuning and going to do a good road tune on it saturday but i have some more questions...

First my tuner wants to turn off the 02 feebback when in boost is this a good idea. He wants to run it off the fuel map instead of trusting the o2?

Second any pointers on the boost control will be great.... I have the aem solenoid to manage boost but we just need some pointers setting it up to a run through..

Thank you

Im confused. You have a ''tuner'' but he doesnt know how to set up/cal the wideband or the boost solenoid?

I can see this getting very ugly pretty quick

Depends.

I sometimes leave the feedback on and sometimes have it shut off around 5-6psi.

Just depends on whats going on with the car/setup

My o2 is off after 7 or 9lbs. i cant remember which....I also use VSS Boost. I agree will Aaron, you tuner should know all this. well with your WG duty % it depends on your setup. 0.00%(if your WG is not inverted) is your WG spring, so whatever spring you have in your wastegate is how many lbs that will be. Make sure that Boost WG output is checked. If you dont use a Boost target method(vss,rpm/tps) then Boost By Load needs to be checked. WOW....PM me

the guy i have helping me on my aem tuning is a well known tuner around my area but mostly with hondata and chrome software.... we together have never installed or messed with the aem.. so this was a learning experience..

as for going bad .... the car now runs on twenty psi of boost with the o2 shutting down at 2 psi... and running 11.4 afrs and 12 degrees of timing at 7000 rpms with absolutely no knock....

I will have to go in my tune and check on how he set up the boost for sure.... but i know it comes on with rpm... till it hits 20 psi... i think my wg percentage is at around 50%..... I figure with the gt40 that is pretty good spooling full boost at 4800.... The car never seems to stop pulling... I can roll out in second and nail it and the tire spin is non existant due to the spool coming on the way it does...

I am sorry guys if i am asking dumb uestions.... just trying to learn... if you feel my boost is setup wrong please let me know... or if you have any tricks to making the boost come on faster...

Thanks yes we have learned alot this week... still have some issues with my idle jumping around but i think my iac valve might be dirty... going to take it out and clean it and see if it helps out...

But other then that the car is running strong and the two step sounds trememndous.... We have it set to build 10 psi in less then two seconds....

*whistles* nice... yeah i run the DTEC FBC and i notice some similarities with the boost threshold... i had mine set to 85% and i had hella fast spool up, but then again these to systems can be structured differently... i'm running 50trim DBB...

I wouldnt mind having alittle faster spool up... but we will work on that after pinks....

We had mine set at 65% and it boost about 24 psi.... so we had to turn it down to accomplish the right boost.... Like i said guys still learning...

I wish lilmike would pm me and i would just give him my number to call me and walk me through this lol...

I will have the file on my laptop today and look over the boost settings and post them up
