To put it plain and simple it sucks. I have had the following issues just to let everyone aware in case you decide to go with Vista.
When you are connected to the ECU then shut you car off the AEMPro program is freeze(Not Responding). It will not even have time to show "ECU offline."
Or when you go to reconnect you will get a Parity Error or a Framing Error. The only way to fix this is reboot your computer.
Also when you run a datalog and you are done it locks up AEMPro and AEMLog. You will have to restart your computer. Sometimes you have time to save your log and sometimes you dont.
Since I turned Telemetry off I havent had any of these issues. Hopefully it stays that way.
yea, i have had the same issues with vista and the aem pro software. i wonder if there is a setting in vista that lets you run it on xp settings "windows XP used to do that"
i am having problems with vista as well. the first time i tried to connect to the ecu, it gave me a parity error, and then caused the computer to crash. i can't remember what the windows error screen said, but it automatically shut down windows. after the computer restarted, i tried to reconnect, but i got as far as the connection screen and it froze. when i tried to close the program, the computer emitted a loud and unusual beep. i tried to pull up the task manager, but it wouldn't open. a minute or so later, it gave me the same windows error screen again and shut down. when the computer restarted again, i checked the properties on the aem pro software to make sure it was set for windows xp service pack 2. it was already set that way, but i reselected it anyway and checked the box to run the program as an administrator. after all that i was able to connect fine...
has anyone else gotten the same windows error, or just parity errors when trying to connect?
