you asked for it Alex

Assuming people know how to use windows

Opening the software
Loading a base map (always start with AEM’s base)
Setting up correct sensors for application
Setting up injectors and fuel pressure

Connecting to the ECU (can be difficult with obd-serial port)
Uploading your map
Setting the o2 gain (so gauge reads the same as the EMS sees)
THE START UP (yea now were getting some where)
Adjusting start up/warm up parameters
Getting it to idle (just for basic tuning)
Double check your timing/fuel maps (changes in sensors might make the map dangerous!!!)
How to do baseline (non-boost) VE mapping for A/F (low load)

(boost comp theory) predicting A/F load cells
How to set up and interpret logs (very very important)

Setting up o2 feed back
Tuning load A/F

Ignition timing tuning (dangerous subject)

Knock sensor setup
Setting up sensitivity for false knock
How much to pull/add and how quick

Putting it all together for drivability
Throttle fuel correction
Final idle adjustments
Rev limiters/2 step
Fan on –off

ADVANCED
Anti-lag theory and how to safely use it
Traction control ????????
Injector phase theory and how to (changes for boost comp and cams)
Staged injectors theory
How to set up inputs/outputs

I will check in on Monday or Tuesday to make sure that we are on schedule.
I will personally drop whatever I am doing to film this DVD as long as it is not during Seven Stock or Formula D

Ok, this video is now over 8+ months in the works for part 1....

not being a smart ass or anything, but WTF is the hold-up?

If this is only suppose to be part 1 of a 3-4 part series, I seriously hope we won't have to wait another 8+ months for the next part to come out.

.

The "hold-up" was that we did not get permission to release the original content and our request to re-film kept getting pushed back for months.

The new arrangement gives us more control of this project.
As of today Oct 24 is the target day

DRIFTING.com has produced 11 DVD's since 2007. Some titles have been released as "early copies" within 2-3 weeks of filming. Meeting content release requirements are what cause some projects to fall behind schedule.

The point is that filming and editing is not an issue for us, it has always been scheduling. Ex. One DVD took 1 year to schedule.

If you would like more tuning DVD's then please let us know which tuners you suggest we work with so we have more scheduling options.

thank you

Do you have any specific questions about the EMS?

I'd like to know how to correctly set up all the advanced idle tables to get the car to idle as smooth as possible. And maybe accel/decel fuel
