1.) I have the UEGO unit, which hole should i use for the sensor...the O2 or where the Cat used to be?
2.) Whats the estimated install Time?
3.) When using the stock solenoids to control boost.....for a 2 stage set-up up would I need 2 maps?
4.) The clip on the Middle plug on the PCM is broken...is there a way to fix/replace this if not will this be a problem while operating the EMS?
Think thats it....
Thanks for the help
1.) Use the O2 housing's bung
2.) You can do it in 30 minutes or less, unless you are wiring in sensors
3.) I'm not understanding your question, 2 maps for what?
4.) Define clip? Are you talking about the red lock? If so it shouldn't be a problem, you can get the whole plug from a dealer and transfer your wires to the plug.

Thanks a bunch for the help
3.) 2 maps for like low and high boost or can I tune it that it switches when I lower/raise the boost?
4.) Any part numbers?? Imma give the noobs @ the dealership here a call to see if they have any.
a little off topic, but kind of goes with the title of the thread...
when installing the ems, does everyone go through the procedure of marking the motor mount/crank pulley to verify ignition timing? what is the purpose of this?--there is no distributor, so there is no way to change the igntion timing, right?

yes, it is to verify that the timing you are reading on the ems matches the timing on the motor

just to clear that up, distributorless ignition can be controlled electronically.standard distributor ignition can only be controlled mechanically or by vacuum...or some other trick stuff.
the only reason i asked is it seems like a waste of time to verify timing on a motor that can not be mechanically altered. now i realize that the test is really more to make sure the timing in the ems is correct...
