So i've been tuning the car no for about 2 weeks. Now i'm not sure this is what is supposed to be going on but everytime I connect to the EMS it automatically starts to download the map AEM provides with the unit. So I have to upload my map everytime I connect? Why can't the program just take the map from the computer and upload it instead of me ahving to download my map all the time?

Am I doing somethign wrong here?
you need to rename the map and save it to the computer, it will remember the last map saved and pull it up "unless you move the folder", if you want a new map you need to open that map in the ems than load it to ecu
how are you doing it?.....i mean are you driving around tuning the car then re-sending the map?.....as long as the ecu and lap top are connected what ever changes you make are saved in the ems.....i have not loaded a map into my ecu in over 8 months...and i got it 10 months ago......now when you plug the lap top back up and open aem pro and it says connect or work offline and you hit connect and then turn the key on it will say downloading at the bottom of the screen......its just loading everything back onto the laptop from the ecu.....
have you shipped my aem map adaptor yet?......i have not recieved it yet....i paid you a week and a half ago for it

sorry guys but the car is for sale....all out first gen is in the works
When I connect to the EMS, it automatically starts to download WORKMAP, I haven't had WORKMAP on the EMS since I first started. So I will upload the map LOOP820 HIGHWAY TUNE and start tuning. When i'm finished I save the map to the laptop, close AEMPro, then turn the car off. Next time I connect it still tries to open WORKMAP.

Hope this is more descriptive.
yeah every time you open aem and turn the key on it will say workmap on the top....its no biggie.....it will still be whatever it was the last time you turned the car off.....when you save the new map and changes into your computer just make sure to name it something other than workmap
my bad i thought it was longer than it was....this past week has been hell.....and this next will be the same....i have 2 srt's to tear down and rebuild and have both done by friday
its your same map just everything is Yellow now instead of the things you changed being Red. Do this...connect to the EMS then look at the numbers on your fuel map down in the bottom left hand of Fuel map raw. Then upload your other map and look at those same numbers. I bet they are the same. Or just look at something that you know for sure you changed(Boost WG Map, 2 Step). anything you changed on that other map will be the same on the map the ECU sends when you first connect.
anytime you first download the map it will be named workmap because it is quite simply the map you are working on.....duh....lol.you dont want it to load your currently named map because if you fuck it up and save it you would have overwritten your previous map.always save your maps frequently and date them so you always have a point to turn back to if things go wrong
