Default Afer installing GM boost solenoid - Cant boost past 21psi and weird noise...

Ok, so I just installed the GM boost solenoid on my car today and have been tinkering with "Boost by VSS". I have gotten everything set up pretty good so far, my only problem is the car will not boost past 20.8psi at all. In the "Boost target speed table, I can change it to anything (wastegate spring pressure of 12psi all the way to 20psi with no problem), But anytime I turn it up past 21psi it wont go. does anyone have any idea what could cause this?

Also, I know that I have the Boost solenoid hooked up correctly, but when I turn the key on, the boost solenoid clicks. Like 3 clicks per second. What could be causing this?

Also, do you have any idea what would cause the solenoid to click when I turn the key on?

Well, im pretty happy with myself so far. I went from not knowing anything about it (AEM boost control) to setting up my boost map decently. (Just won't go past 21psi)

I think I might know what is causing the clicking, but it is so fricken cold outside right now I don't want to go out and test it

In the "Boost WG Base Duty Map" change every cell that isn't under boost to 0 duty instead of 50 across the board. Going to give that a shot and see if it fixed the click.

Maybe someone that is using the GM boost solenoid can chime in and tell me if the clicking is even normal? I'm guessing no

My base duty cycle map is at 50 in ALL cells. Every walkthrough that I have used it says to do that. I have tried changing the base duty to 80 in all cells and it still doesn't affect anything.

The clicking is from the solenoid because you have VSS FB at 0 mph... hence it's actuating at key on. Normal.

Is it going to hurt anything for the solenoid to be clicking when the key is on? If not, how would I change the VSS FB to a higher limit?

I dont mind the clicking because I cant hear it from inside the car. If its normal, then I just wont worry about it.

what is your WG spring tension (no controler) just wondering if maybe your switch to a new WG needs to invert the map

I do believe my WG spring is 12psi. After looking at the GM diagram, I do have my vacuum lines run differently. If you look at the picture, how I have my lines going currently is:

Turbo ===vac line=== right side of solenoid
left side of solenoid ===vac line=== bottom part of wastegate

I will rerun my vacuum lines tomorrow and see if that helps.
The odd thing is, if I have the lines wrong, I wouldnt think the solenoid would work at all. I can change the boost settings in the AEM from 12psi to 20psi no problem, anytime I go over 21psi it wont work. (Only boost to 21.5 or so no matter how high I have it set)

PS: I am really liking all the new AEM post we have. Hopefully it will help anyone in the future with problems other guys will run into.
