First anyone have + or - comments for this gauge? Answers to this such as its great or its sucks is useless for me so if have time to post an answer make it worth my time to read by giving why.
I see that the gauge can can read oil and fuel pressures. So I would hook up the two sensors to the AEM EMS and then I would be able to read output on the display?
Oil and fuel pressure would be user definable inputs, correct? These would be added to the existing channels being monitored, correct?
The gauge will display one output/channel (say oil pressure), and the gauge is capable of giving a visual warning on all of the other non displayed channels, correct? On fault detection (or alarm trigger) the gauge switches to the channel giving the fault, correct?
How are the different channels displayed on the gauge, is it channel 1, 2, 3, 4, etc OR is it MAP, FIDC, BOOST, KNOCK, EGT etc...?
ADDED: which pressure sensors work well with this.....oil and fuel? I know thats theres a couple of different sensors out there. The full sweep sensors such as the ones that come with the Autometer gauges are nice but I know theres other sensors that can work well that cost less. I'm not against paying a little more for quality or performance but if theres a lower cost yet very effective solution I'm all ears.
A little background behind my questions and the thread. I was using the Aeroforce Dual Pro gauges with the optional oil and fuel pressure sensors. I liked how I was able to easily wire this up and keep somewhat of clean or non busy look with varying gauge looks from different manufactures.
I'm getting rid of the Aeroforce gauges now that I'm using the AEM EMS but I really would like to keep the ability to keep track of both fuel and oil pressures. I was thinking about getting two Mopar gauges from S&P but I still have the Aquamist DDS3 to consider as far as looks, the AEM gauge is a closer match to the DDS3 then the Autometers are. My thinking is that with the capabilities to otherwise use the AEM gauge in the same manner as the Aeroforce I will like the results, but as with other mods people feedback through use is important I do not see much said with regards to this gauge.

Mine's at N2MB right now and it's going in like, tomorrow. So yeh, doing some homework.
Surprised I haven't seen more people with these gauges. In another thread I was reading about the gauge even working at all with a serial connection, but I guess you can just use the tuning cable?
We will have an aeroforce gauge that will work with the AEM EMS sometime soon.
I just started a thread a few days ago in Aeroforces section.
As for the on topic, I have yet to use the serial gauge sorry

I'm kind of leaning towards the AEM IF I can go into the AEM software interface and setup the channels like it sounds like I can.
I'm going to check the Aeroforce thread to see whats up with that. Thanks Aaron.
Next question OFF TOPIC just would like for future reference so no one gets pissed off: does anyone know if AEM does NOT like people copying sections of the manuals and then posting up sections for discussion? I was thinking about posting up different parts of the manual and then asking for feedback/clarification.....much better then asking a question about book 2, page 9, section A, 3rd paragraph blah blah blah.

No one will know this answer for sure.
I would call AEM and ask them direct, and ask for the name of the person your talking to.
I would think they would be cool about it as well.
I'll see if a quick phone call can get a simple answer....hopefully the question does not put the person on the other end in an automatic defensive NO mode.
i installed this gauge, it works very well and has out puts for 2 warning lights..every thing is programable..the display, colors, readings, warning lights for every mode and you can have the proiorty ones over ride others, i did the install in a pillar pod "very easy" and i had to cut out the "serial output" and i perminantly ran the com cable into my glove box when i am tuning i must disconect the gauge "no bigge"... programing it is a pain in the ass, it is kinda primative software and takes alot of time but i give it 2 thumbs up and a must have for the ems
i will try to post a pic but it looks just like all there other gauges with 2 small buttons
i would assume yes for oil and fuel but like your question stated you will need pressure sensors "i can probly gaurntee they need to be special aem 3 wire" and you will need to know the output
aem has great customer service idk what everyone is saying...just get you question together before calling so you dont sound like an ass
The AEM fuel and oil pressure sensors are three wires? If so I would assume one is ground, one is power and one is ground. Sounds like a typical pressure sensor for full sweep gauges such as the ones used by Autometer.
I been hitting the web and the more I read, the more I like it. I think I'm going to just go ahead get this gauge.

please dont quote me but most sensors for the ems are 3 wire, check with aem
I'm looking at the sensor PDF's and on the web now. Three wire as I described. Kavlico use to supply these sensors to AEM (30-2155) I think they are using someone else right now.
Link to the sensor manufacture for the one you got on Ebay...possibly a part #?
