oh, and tim, here is the GM 3bar number 12223861 and you might want the GM weatherpak plug in for it, the harness number is 15305891
I do not believe that is the right part number. The GM boost solenoid that is "normally" used by AEM Tuners is a GM#=1997152/ACD#=214-474 and the harness I believe is a Standard#=S575 or Delphi#=PA66. I even called and confirmed the solenoid part# with AEM yesterday . Has anyone used their factory solenoids (#2?) to control boost yet?

AN fitting for the boost controller are always a plus. Have you have ever seen a vacuum line to the WG blow off and the boost spike that would follow? Something as simple as a loose vacuum line can quickly lead to a blown engine.
Tim is suppose to call me tonight and tell me. By the way, where are you getting your laptop mount from? I gotta order a dc cable too. Damn this stuff is starting to add up. Everytime I tell my wife that I'm done, I end up buying more stuff . By the way are you coming to Columbia tonight?
Things to buy:
1.) 5 bar map sensor
2.) 1000cc injectors (maybe if the 750cc aren't good enough)
3.) Aermotive 1000 fuel pump (maybe if the walbro can's do the job
4.) Boost solenoid
5.) USB to serial coverter cable
6.) Laptop mount

Rush/Dan,
the serial port on the laptop needs to be a male fitting(9 pins).
The 750cc's and the walbros ARE good enough it's just a matter of how far you want to take your car. I know high 500's whp is doable on 750cc injectors. Next things we need are map sensors and boost soleniod.

Cool. Just let me know how much I need to give you and when you need it Paypal is in que
Hate to continue the off-topic, but you can make switchable alternate fuel and boost maps right? Here in colorado we can drive by these emissions test vans and if our tailpipe emissions are low enough from their sensors twice in the year before emissions are due, then we just pay a few extra bucks when we get the car registered instead of going to one of those emissions test facilities that grabs info from our computer. Does anyone know how to "tune" for reduced emissions?
Yes you can. An easy way is to use the N2O maps as the alternate map. It will control fuel and spark. Very easy to do it that way. As for the tuning for emissions....If you only have a sniffer test just unplug one injector.
ok so who is selling this thing already and how much, cause I have said for months now that this is what I'm getting before i mod my car and I'm set with everything I need so far, i got the motor mount, the shifter and then cut out so who's selling and how much

813-892-7215 help with installs, mods, or sound SRT-4 advise
We took my SRT-4 to a local AEM Factory Trained Tuner Friday to get the AEM dialed in. After 5 hours of dyno time (and more $$$ than I care to mention), the car pulled 412 whp and 407 lbs-ft torque at around 21 lbs of boost. Engine info is:
Stock engine (top & bottom)
50-trim AGP DBB turbo
Tial wastegate
Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
Wallbro in-tank fuel pump w/return line
750 cc RC injectors
AEM MAP sensor 3.5 bar
AEM intake air temp sensor
AEM fuel pressure sensor
The car ran real strong throughout the pull. Unfortunately, at the end of the last run, we noticed the idle had gone haywire. It stumbled right after start-up, and then revved and died repeatedly, until it finally settled in at around 1100 rpm. We pointed this out to the tuner, and -- for whatever reason, maybe it was closing time and he wanted to go home -- he claimed he hadn't done anything to cause the change. He said it must be something like a manifold leak or somewhere else around the throttle body, not his AEM tune that was causing it. Yet neither I nor my mechanic friend (who had done all the mods on the car) had noticed any problem with the idle prior to the last run. Since this tuner has a pretty good reputation, and it was late, we accepted his disclaimer and took the car home. The idle fluctuated considerably and the car wanted to die as we pulled it onto the trailer. This weekend, my friend went over the car. He pressurized the system to 35 psi and couldn't detect any leaks. He sprayed soapy water over all the seams around the throttle body, TB spacer, IM gasket & head, AIC motor, TPS, and found nothing. We searched this forum for "high idle" and found a DIY thread on the TPS harness. Unfortunately, that fix didn't correct the problem. Finally, after coming up completely blank on the cause of the problem, he hooked up the stock ECU (actually a Stage1), and the idle was fine (around 900 rpm). It seems like the problem is related to the AEM tuning. At this point the car is not very driveable.
Do any of you AEM experts out there have any suggestions or thoughts as to what might be causing the idle problem? I'm not sure I want to go back to this tuner, especially if it means paying him more $$$. After all, he claims his tune didn't cause the idle problem. Does it typically take 5 hours and 15 runs to tune a car? I'm planning on trying another tuner.
1st off if it took them 5 hours to tune your car with only 15 pulls something is wrong. It sounds like to me they spent way too much time on the start up and idle. Is there any way you can email me your map? You can send it to info@PolkPerformance.com and let me have a look at it. If any thing I may find what they done wrong and email you back a file. Also can you email me a datalog file as well. One that is a start up when cold, warmed up, and may be a pull or two. That will make it easier for me to see what is going on.

it definatly sounds like a tune. i do have to say 5 hours isnt all that bad for a tune, though only 15 pulls means that they didnt tune it as well as i would have liked. good news is that it could have been a lot of street tunning which usually means good driveability...however, it sounds like it didnt work. watch your timing/fuel at idle and see. that is usually the problem
