There are several of us that have purchased the new AEM EMS and they are starting to arrive on our doorstep. As we start our installations, I'm sure we will be learning a lot as we go. So I have developed this thread for us to share ideas, compare setups, discuss problems/issues, and possible fixes. This will also help with a million threads that might get started. After your installation, it would be great if everybody posted at a minimum the following:
1.) AEM EMS with or without wideband
2.) Complete mod listing
3.) Dyno sheets (before and after would be great!)
4.) Ease of installation and any problems/issues that you ran across during installation and what you did to fix the problems/issues
5.) Your overall satisfaction with the unit

Its really good to see that AEM has finally released the EMS for the SRT4. I am sure that initially there will be some minor hickups that will occur and need some trouble shooting. I have had some experience with the AEM on my supra and a few other cars.
I might be able to help if anyone has any problems occur.
On the base map that comes with the EMS i noticed that i lost the pops under decel. I later found out that the EMS turns off the injectors if engine speed is below x, TPS is below x %, engine coolent is above x, and engine load is above x %. I made the injectors stay on all the time by setting the TPS to 0%. then i went and bumped up the fuel in the fuel map and now on decel i get those pops and burbels like stock. The car during idle sits at 14.5-14.8 A/F.

Just throwing that out there.
What mods are you running? Do you think those adjustments to get/keep the "pop" might alter performance?
Takeing out the pops is a better thing, if you want the pops just for the sake of the noise it makes, thats kinda riceish. Besides, when it pops like that, you know your running ritch, witch is an entire waste of gas just going out the exhausrt
install tip for those with the uego system and an aftermarket downpipe. you may have to pound down the heatshielding immediatly behind/below the o2 sensor. the uego is a tiny tiny bit longer and i had some issues with my uego sensor fitting. a simple tap from a wrench/hammer/whatever to make it clear. took an extra 30 seconds, but you might want to think about it on install.

also realized that doing the install without jackstands or a lift isnt very fun. connecting that aux. bracket to mount the factory PCM wasnt fun when you couldnt get under the car at all.
someone needs to see if running a stg1 comp instead of a stocker will fix the CEL. i didnt think that would bug me, but i have drivin it a total of 4 miles and it already annoys me.
Thanks for the good info Tex. I know that Dan and I found out that Stage 1 gets rid of codes but slightly disrupts tuning. When I used Stage 1, Dan's stage 0 car pulled 15whp more than I did. We had almost the identical setup. We're wondering if it will be the same with the AEM EMS.
im glad this thread is there, im stage 1 and as soon as tex calls me to come pick it up ill find out about the cel light i hated looking at that with stage 0
its on its way my friend. we will know more by tuesday when my boy at AEM is back in so i can harass him for you. the cel is anoying, but im over it. the dash will come off here shortly and that bulb pulled.
make sure your running in the right configuration (under config menu, you will be able to select which o2 feedback you have. mine was set for methanol, make sure its at gas) - UEGO at least
base map is PIG RICH!!!!! i had to pull a lot of fuel to have it idle it leaner than 10.0!!!
issue im fighting now is a stalling when i get off the throttle and hit the brakes. that is to be hunted down and gotten rid of tomarrow (i hope). anyone with some experience, please hint as to where i need to tweak
I should have my EMS in the next couple of days, but I do have a question. Is the SRT base map a boost comp map? I know that some of the base maps are already boost comp.
