...he would have whatever timing he wanted. The EMS isn't like an SAFC, DTEC, EMANAGE or other piggyback tuner, where you pull fuel and increase timing as a side effect. With the EMS, you have full control over fuel and ignition timing. You don't "pull" anything with the EMS, you just set it how you want it.
While I don't agree with the OP's choice of injector size, with a fuel returnline and the EMS controlling the fuel pulse, it should still be possible to get a good idle out of the car. That's all that really matters.

Are you wanting to run the 1200cc injectors without a rising rate regulator? I.E. set the pressure at 43psi and leave it there? If so that makes sense to me. Using a rising rate regulator isn't the best thing IMO. The injectors where designed to work on 43psi, raising that can shorten the life of the injector. I ran 750's like that for a year and a half and one set went to shit on me. With EMS I would definitely go with the proper size injector to where a rising rate regulator isn't needed.
