Picked up a 1989 CRX that got traded into my work last year. Was hoping to drive it through the winter but couldn't afford insurance while working in school. Going to be as brutally honest as I can be about this car, the good and bad.
Good:
-Newer front fenders, painted but very poorly.
-All new lights, bulbs and blinkers all around. Every light is functional as it should be.
-Rear quarter panels were cut off, rewelded with fresh metal then
unskillfully smoothed out and painted.
-Car has 0 visible rust, though the rockers are rusted out.
- Rusted out rockers are hidden under skirt pkg and cannot be seen with the car on the ground.
-Car is modified. Mods include: Lowered on springs
Catback Exhaust
Intake
Steering Wheel w/ functional horn.
-Has a motorized
sunroof that worked when parked.
-Good condition winter tires.
Bad
-Windshield has a large crack, needs to be replaced 100%
-Drivers side seat bolsters are torn, still comfortable though.
-Hood latch does not work at this time, dunno if it's busted or gone.
-Rear wheels froze up over the winter, I suspect they could be loosened and will help whomever is interested in trying to free them up.
-Paint on front of hood has peeled, looks like shit.
-Rear bumper held on by screws (
seems solid imo
)
-I'm a bad painter
-Has old gas, sputters on accel. Was not present before being parked, hence the gas suspected.

Overall it's a very good car and in very good shape for an 89. I will say again that I spent a decent amount of time with a cutting wheel and welder to make the rust disappear. With the rust cut off the rear quarters were finished hastily and therefore don't look amazing, but don't look terrible. The two front fenders are dent and rust free, off a JDM CRX, the side markers I
do not have. Anywhoo, onto the pictures:

Would apprechiate only serious buyers who will buy regardless of whether or not the rear wheels get freed up on my driveway, I'd rather not spend time trying to fix them for nothing. I will accept a 24 of MGD in lieu of the $100.00. Pick-up
only, not parting out
at all. There is likely upwards to $1000.00 worth of sellable parts on the car, or could be fixed realtively easily as a winter beater or dd. Car is manual.
