Default BREAKING NEWS! MOPAR STAGE 1 TURBO UPGRADE

Hello everyone!

One of the head chiefs at Mopar (Turbo G-) posted a message here at SRTforums in a previous thread about the availability of the Mopar Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade. I wanted to create a new thread specifically for this great news!

This upgrade is off the chart...props to all people who ante up and take their SRT4 to the next level. Move over imports...

Everyone thank Turbo G for getting this info to the enthusiasts first! Here is Turbo G's message about the Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mopar Performance Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade for SRT-4
Here are the details of the Mopar Performance Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade.

Mopar will start taking orders next week. They should be ready to ship no later than June 15 (if not earlier).

You will need to provide your VIN # and ODO reading to get the order through the system (ordering from a dealer or on-line).

Components:
*(4) Fuel Injectors -- 527cc/min* (Static fuel flow rated at 58 PSI)
*(1) MOPAR Performance Powertrain Control Module (PCM) - calibrated by the guys that the know the vehicle the BEST (PVO engineers)

Performance Ratings:
* 240 hp @ 5200 rpm
* 260 ft-lbs @ 2400-4400 rpm

Calibration Features:
Increased WOT and part throttle boost
More aggressive exhaust note during deceleration
Enhanced 1st gear boost schedule for a higher performance launch
Improved Turbo Response
*Optimized calibration for the MOPAR Performance Blow Off Valve conversion kit (sold separately - available in July 2003)

MSRP: $399
Part Number: P5007862 (save this - if you go to a dealer*, not needed for on-line ordering)
*Don't run out to a dealer today - I am sending them the information next week on how to order the kit - special system they have to use.

The information I have posted is subject to change without notice (have to write this - just in case). I will keep you posted on any updates as well as let you know when we are releasing the Limited Slip Differential, Coilover Kit (gonna be awesome), Short Throw Shifter, etc.

I may not be able to answer all of your questions - especially if they are real technical, but WAIT and I will get you the answers.. I'm with 'ya!

Have a GREAT WEEKEND.

Hey batman...what are the implications as far as warranty are concerned?

Is there a core charge on this , or do we get to keep our stock goodies?

How does a chip and injectors change the exhaust note?

I asked the same thing. The answer I got was that the computer "lets" extra fuel through the system and it is detonated in the exhaust system. That makes that burping sound we all love. This isn't the technical answer but it is as best I remember it.

I would think If we order this upgrade and have Dodge themselves put it in, that it would NOT void the warranty? Is this correct? I always heard if you order MOPAR products and have it done by a Dodge dealer, that the warranty is still valid??? :roll:

Why do these DCX guys drop news and not answer all the follow up questions. The question of warranties has been around for months and still no answer.
