Default Track time for Pt cruiser turbo

mods are in my sig. I spun HORRIBLY. the track was not prepped at all...i get better tractiion on the street. I spun all of first, all of second, and a little in third. i even tried pedalling (i know i spelled this wrong haha) it and it would just spin again. i had to go through the water box, there was no way around it. I did a burn out to get the water off. this was at the dragway in jackson, i don't recommend going there. even the cars with slicks weren't hooking that well. oh and i launched at 2200 also.

60ft: 2.664
1/8th: 10.554
1/8 mph: 72.45
1/4: 15.889
1/4 mph: 95.78

you aren't kidding. i have 215/45's on the stock wheels but it didn't help haha. I'm going to go to commerce, ga to the atlanta dragway in a couple weeks, hopefully i'll have a little better luck at a better prepped track.

Those times are terrible! Have you ever been to the track before? You should be able to find some PT steelies on your forum cheap. Buy your self a couple and mounts some slicks and run in the 14s instead of 16s. Any mods on your PT?

back in the day I ran a 14.66 with just the spring mod on my 03 GT. I was able to get a 2.0x 60' on the stock rsa's. I was spiking 18 and falling to 14-15.

air down the front tires to 25psi. If you do have to drive into the water try and go around the edge where there is just wet pavement and not standing water. Street tires will pick up a lot of water and when you try and spin them dry the water will spray into the wheel wells and fall back onto the tire.

When you launch I suggest holding 3500 RPM. Hold the gas steady and let the clutch out halfway and then start modulating the gas and clutch until you hook.

Default Ran my 5 speed 05 GT Vert at Englishtown NJ last week.

The car weighed in at about 3500 lbs. Only got 1 run in, and it ran 15.3 @92 MPH. Traction is really a problem with these cars as there is no LSD. 1st and 2nd gear are pretty useless as far as traction goes with street tires. If the guys tires were wet he probably would spin in 3rd gear.

Useless? lol, I don't think you guys have any idea what useless means. When you spin BOTH tires at 90+mph, then you can say useless lol.
