There are a number people with stage 3 and large Turbo's that are running fast times, and talk about how fast their car is. I wonder why they don't drive their own cars if they spend that much money to make them fast?

Those that come to mind are LucyBop (driven by her son), WhiteMountainSRT and Andy (driven by Nick), The Driver (driven by someone else besides himself).

I have one question, if you post up times, and like to take credit for those times, why not drive them yourself, otherwise, shouldn't there be an asterisk?

Not meant to offend, just an honest question....

I drive my car myself and the point is to see what times stage 3 is putting out and for that reason it doesn't matter who drives the car IMO.

Stage 3 is relatively new, and I see why people want to prove it's capabilities, but my point is why do some that have stage 3 cars run with other drivers and pass this off as their own times, when they can't get those times themselves?

Call me old fashioned, but drag racing is about what you can do behind the wheel yourself.... Is that out of line?

Tell that to owners of professional drag cars that hire others to drive( Don Prudhome, Kenny Bernstein, etc....). lol
I see your point though. However most people seem to post the times of the car they own and usually always state who drove it if it was indeed another person.

You are right. Besides Lucybop, who does acknowledge her son drives her car for their fastest times, but there are alot of Stage 3 owners that pass their times off as their own, and I think it needs to be highlighted that another driver ran those times

I see them as passing it off as their own times. I respect what you have run because you drive your own stage 3 car. But what about the other stage 3 owners that don't?

One quick question for "The Driver"

If you're the "The Driver", why don't you drive your own car for the best times?

P.S. Nice Username

I do drive my own car. When we go to the track I also let Brett make passes in it since he has helped me work on it. Truth is somedays I'm faster than him ans somedays he's faster than me. Right now he's got the fastest time in my car. I'll be the first to admit that. There's no need to get on here and flame someone for letting someone else drive their car. Brett has helped me alot and it wouldn't seem right not to let him have some fun with the car also. My best pass so far with me behind the wheel is a 7.71 @ 93mph. How about your driving skills. Don't preach about what somebody is doing unless you know the whole story.

WhiteMntSRT-4 makes it fairly clear that Nick drives his car.
Chris (whitemtn) owns the car, and the car is running 12 flat right now, chris is a very educated professional, and is new to the whole drag racing scene, and is learning very quickly but you can't expect him to be at Nick's skill level yet.

Nick in addtion to doing alot of work to both andy's and chris's car Nick has made over 2000+ passes in FWD cars. He's a hell of a driver.

I see nothing wrong with seeing what a car is capable of by being driven by another individual.

I suck at driving. My best run is 14.3 with all my mods. Nick would probably run a 13.7 in my car if he drove it. My car is capable of better, but I'm not capable of driving it that fast. Same reason you see 03 cobras run mid 13's.

well, i've modified my sig for ya bruh... Yes, I drove the car to the current fastest time. I've done just as much work on the car as "The Driver" has, and actually his screen name came from when he was simply the driver for another friend of ours. But, if you are trying to say that he can't drive it... how come his best pass is 5 thousandths of a second slower than my best pass? That's skill. We both have 2 totally different driving styles, and both of us run the same times. It just happens that I was a bit more determined last weekend to run an 11 in the car than John was. So what? I guess it's against the law for 2 people to drive 1 car isn't it....

oh btw...where's your time slips at bruh?

Everyone is a critic.

Excuse me for running faster than the owner of the car in every situation I've been in. For the record Chris has made about 20 passes total in his whole life, and is roughly 4 tenths behind me right now. That's impressive in my book. I did run the best time in Andy's 500whp monster too, but again.. I have thousands more passes than he does under my belt. Andy also has only posted his fastest time on the list, not mine.

See you all at the track where it doesnt matter whos driving. You still lost.

"Clean up, aisle three!!!!"

Can I get a mod to clean up all non informational posts? All this side discussion makes it hard for this thread to serve its purpose, which is as a reference for Stage 3 equipped cars times.
