Mir 9/16/07

Went to MIR yesterday with some friends and had alot of fun. My best run was 13.6@102 with a crappy 2.0 60'. I know she has more in her. I was launching at 3500rpms with no wheel spin or wheel hop.... Drag Radials work great. Thanks Brian!! I was only seeing 14psi and tappering off to 12psi. I tried to up the boost to 18psi and do a 4k rpm launch, but someone blew their bottom end all over the track so I couldnt go again. I ran 4 times with 2 consistent 13.8@101.... and then the last run was my 13.6@102. Not bad for a stock srt with drag radials.... I know if I up the boost to 18psi and get a 1.9 60' I should see a 13.4 out of her. Next time I guess.... Oh yeah this was at full weight too. She weighed in at 3165lbs with me in it.... I only weigh 190lbs.

I just say she on all my cars.... Im going for better times though next time I go out.... I know I can break a 12 with it....

If you set your boost too high, youll actually start pulling timing and lose power....Great times buy the way...2.0 is not crappy at all....

Well I found out why I was only seeing 14psi because I had 3 pretty big boost leaks. Both charge pipes and one line had pretty nice size leaks.... We did a boost leak check and they couldnt even hold 5psi before blowing through. We fixed them and she pulls and holds the 14psi all the way through. Im going back to the track pretty soon and see how much I can knock off my ET.... Im hoping for a 1.8 - 1.9 60ft and a high 12, bottom 13 sec pass.
