Why would you want to buy a million mods that makes 3HP apiece when you could just upgrade the turbo and gain 80HP to the wheels? just curious.

That is amazing! You must have one hell of a fast car. I would never get rid of it. A 2.1 60 foot time is pretty decent but your car must pull way harder than mine up top, considering I am supposed to have one of the best WGA's out there and a cold air intake and I can't run better than a 14.5 at 97mph for the life of me with a 2.2 60 foot time. What were you shifting at? That suprises me that you weren't throwing any codes with a 19 pound spike. I can't seem to spike any higher than 16 or 17 without throwing codes. Let me know how you have the WGA set up. Are you running pcm controlled boost? If not, are you having problems leaning out?

However, If you was racing another srt-4 that ran 13.6 but cut a .03 light off the tree you probably wouldnt catch up plus factor in that with a car out in front people tend to slam the gas to the floor instead of feathering the clutch and running them back down on the big end. But great numbers man I went 13.7 stock with intake

Exhaust makes a pretty big difference. If you get a 3 inch turbo back or even just a 3 inch DP w/ E-Cutout you will still have the nice exhaust note but just ALOT louder. Nobody really measure in crank hp with our cars but ill tell you right now without a nice shot of nitrous it's going to be very hard to hit 400whp or 400 crank hp on stock turbo.

If you currently have about 270 whp then you have more like 305-310 bhp at the engine, not 340-350 hp.

On stock turbo, with being maxed out, the best you will probably see is 315 whp with about 360 bhp at the engine. That would probably be every bolt-on you can get, cams, and a tune.

Whatever number you are using to calculate bhp and whp is too high. it is about 12% drivetrain loss on our cars.

Figure 360bhp * 12% = 43hp lost through drivetrain. 360bhp - 43hp = 317whp

So do the same math with your car currently with supposedly 270 whp and you come out with 305-310 bhp.

Now how do you know you have 270whp currently on your car, when you said the only power adder you have is a wga. No exhaust or anything. That I would like to know. Do you have a dyno sheet to prove it? Or are you going off of trap speed? Just wondering on this part.

good run, The exhaust doesnt make much of a difference till you go over 20psi of boost on the stock turbo ( maybe a tenth and 1mph below 20psi). 105 mph is about 255-260hp at the wheels.

the back half is strong....were you spinning 2nd and 3rd? cause 83mph in the 8th seems kinda low given the 3tenth improvement over what a stock car would do even taking in consideration the 2.1 sixty and 8th et

Nice times man....and yea launching is such a bitch. I guess your skill an luck where with with you that night. I kept beating my friends srt al the way up to the track and he ran a better time then me. I was hitting 14.01 the whole night...and he got a 13.6 right from the the get go. Anyways thats when i had just intake/wg/exhaust. With my tune im around 280/323 so i should be getting low low 13.s.

SHIT i havent been keeping up with my own thread! SORRY! il try to answer as much as i can...

neon dan... i babyed 1st gear.. i couldent hear the engine, or really feel if i was loosing traction... damn chevy next to me.... so i either blew up 1st gear with tire spin, or crept like granny., absolutly no spin in 2nd and 3rd gear neo gens ftw.

stock ported.... i dont think you will get te same numbers as me...03 driveline.. FTMFL

scottwo3....thx for clearing that up, i was thinking 30% loss.

kobegot81... huh? not sure i understand your comment... but hers my answer... again its not toyko drift rice edition, usually when ppl go to a test tune type drag strip ...ehhh 90% of the time.. its to run their car, not to race aginst the other car.

wazzuman.... this pirticular srt-4 (dont bs me saying there all the same and freaks dont exist) pulls very strong up to 6k, most back off round 5k, so i hold it to 6k all gears, doing that also helps come out quicker in the next gear..no codes..its acually spikes at 21lbs boost, and drops to 14.5 hold, no spark knock..no ignition pulling timing., none of that bs.. its all in how you route/plug the vacume lines. no pcm controlled boost, and no leaning out., well mabey a lil but by the time it starts to lean out, the boost has already lowered to 14-15 so its ok/ still no knock.

blue beast. i like my fuel econ. + i spent a total of 200$... thats it.. 13.4... no need big ass injectors and big ass sloppy built non stock turbo.. (for now)

anyone else have questions?

I thinks its a very good time for the mods. next time you go put a couple gallons of unleaded race gas in with no other changes and I bet you run 106 easy.
