Default first 1/8 mile time

Today was my first time at a 1/8th mile. i was surprised at how hard launching was.

mod list: starting out the day with the boost box and it spiking weird and not holding boost so i ripped the POS out and put in the forge. much better! dropped a full second and gained 10 mph just from the swap at the same boost levels.

d44 kit @16 psi.
motor mounts
lowered on 225's full tire pressure (40 psi)
untuned
thats probably all the mods that matter.

r/t 3.9
60' 2.3
330' 6.0
1/8 8.9
mph 88.82

that was the best run of the day. most of my 60 fts were 2.2-2.5 and my best trap speed was 90.37 mph. i was launching at 2.5k and bogging every time. the one time i tried doing a 3k launch i roasted them all the way

and at the end of the day... the clutch goes

going to the quarter in a few weeks... what do might i run with some okay 60 fts?

without a doubt you will run 12's.

How are you liking the 44?

because of the electronic boost controller... i was limited to 18 but i couldnt get it to hold more than 16.

but that doesnt matter anymore... im sticking with the forge.

also i was on stock clutch... but i was gonna shoot for 20 psi.

i love the d44. i never regret getting it... especially after i ran down a bolt on cobra... 26 psi evo.... and a few more cars i couldnt touch on stock turbo

Hmm, 88mph is bolt on stock turbo territory though, and not even a bone stock evo or 03/04 cobra should be going 8.9 or slower in an 1/8th mile.

Farmington is having test and tune Nov 8th and 21st. I dunno how far you are from there but I plan on trying to make it out to at least one of the days before the tracks close for winter.

haha ya i know. atleast i broke the 90 barrier.

i had planned to go to zmax in 2 weeks, rockingham for the SRT meet, and piedmont for the Halloween show and run, i'd go to farmington with ya but i dont think im gonna be able to race anymore this season with this clutch.

It was because it was hot... when it cooled off it was fine. think i could run, just not hot lap it?

nah not a 03/04... 99 with I/H/E cams tuned. and a GT with the same and gears.

i ran a 04 that had been decently modded. he ran a 7.9 to my 9.0... i want to beat him.

EVO was a buddys... he just didnt launch his car. i walked him back and pulled some though ran a best of 8.6 on the day

then my MPH went down to @ 86 for the next two. come to find out the Jam nut on my APG WGA had come loose, so I was probably only making 8 or so PSI.

In the Quarter I've ran a best of 12.71 @ 114, that's ona bad E1 (shop that installed it did not line it up properly) and a crappy 60' time.

So on a fresh D44 kit, you will run 12's with ease.

from what you said ^^ my times seem right.

but ive been looking at other peoples slips and im seeming to get 4-5 mph trap higher than i should be. my back half also seems to be a bit faster than larger turbo's. Is that just some driver mod mixed with a good set up that im hitting 88-90 mph traps? i thought i'd be at 90+ on atleast 20 psi.
